Luggage choice : Bummot, Metal Mule, Touratec, Holan

Good call. I've loved my Bumot set... They seved me well over a bunch of trips and commute... Only issue I've had is the top mount bracket cracking.... The main "go to cause" is off roading with it loaded.... I personally don't hold alot of weight in that top box and don't do much...

    No rear brakes

I'd definitely be focused on the ABS portion.... The light and the fact even with a bad MC you will still be able to pull fluid through the bleeder with a vacuum.... Spending more time on bleeding seems like wasting more time and wont accomplish anything. Look for codes and start...

Would you replace your tires ?

Everyone is different.... I'm through tires at 5k miles max on every bike from my HDs, ADVs to my 200 HP ZH2.... Some riders go as much as 15k miles with their tires on the same bike.... No one knows how those tires have held up or their condition now better then yourself...

Water Pump Breather Hose - Oil Drops

Thanks for the headsup, I'd of definitely been the guy taking the 5 hr wrench detour to eventually huck the pump down the street and haul butt down to Yamaha for a new pump.

    Replacing Wing with S10...or another

Uggghhh, now to farkle it up all over again.... Thats why though I'd love to have a second gen, I have way too much into work and farkles making my 12 perfect and wont sell.

Brand new, all dash lights are on. Help?

Almost wonder if its a charging issue....

    Replacing Wing with S10...or another

All great bikes.... Honestly if shaft drive and long distance touring isn't an issue, I'd go with what is easiest on budget and fits you best for a local runner.... For me the biggest pro for the S10 was shaftdrive and the largest dealer network for repairs or parts when far away from...

    2010 - headlight completely dead

Not sure if your repair fixed it..... But I know in my case with a few bikes when I had issues with lights not coming on its been a bad ignition switch.

    Tire recommendations for mud/mostly dirt.

I can say Pirelli Scorpions were the best at offroad on my S10. Honestly regardless of tires the S10 will always be sketchy and slow go in the mud. Just too heavy of a bike for mud and sand.

    58Cycle

I know of a couple that used the 2 bros way back. Neither were happy. Too loud and both had issues with broken mounts.

How to destroy a perfectly good Super Tenere.

WOW! Glad you're doing well.... Lucky guy for sure.

    Fork maintenance?

I don't see any chance of a shop just replacing oil.... I know I wouldn't touch those at that mileage without putting new seals and bushings in. If you're doing it, do it.... Order the seals and leave them alone till you can go through em completely. If you're paying someone to do this...

Large Caps for led Lights for Yamaha Super Tenere All Models ( More Pics ).

Buy large caps from Deftoner above and buy LEDs of your choice (theres plenty of options). I personally went with the Light Moses as a recent replacement. Many here running LEDs with no issues of overheat issues. Stuffing the wires back in isn't a big deal, I just wrap them around.

O2 sensor removal: how did you fill up?

Yep, used the exact same for my HDs when modding.

    Harley Vs. Beemer

True.... I feel very fortunate to have been a lifelong gearhead and professional tech for my 1st 15 yrs fresh outta HS in 80s. Acquired a huge selection of tools and experience that keeps all my bikes and vehicles outta the shops.

    Harley Vs. Beemer

The PA has been faring pretty well actually (there has been some dumb stuff too along the way with it the moco should have caught), but relatively a good bike and majority really seem to like them. I do my own work, but if I had a warranty issue, I'd absolutely cringe having it to leave at a...

    Harley Vs. Beemer

As an owner of both HDs and imports of all kinds (enjoy all flavors).... The one downside between those two (and always a point for me to not own a PA) is HD techs are waaaaaayyyy behind to repairing anything even remotely close to the tech of a PA... They prefer high paying, easy bolt on...

    Looking at 2013 ST

Bike sounds good.... BUT, I'll be honest with ya... I'm a fit 50 something and 32" inseam.... That bike will be awful anytime its not rolling...

Tire recommendations for my first off-road (ish) adventure

Yep, cant say enough good about these on my S10. They get me where I want off road with no drama, not sketchy on high speed commutes and can still play in the twisties way faster then a big ADV should be ripping.... The fact my last set of TMs I got 10k out of when I usually get max 4-5k...

    Tenere 1200 Rental - Tools?

Just food for thought, but I'd seriously plan on throwing in a plug kit for the trip at a minimum. I always carry a plug kit and small compressor touring.... A flat in the middle of nowhere is a real bummer.
