Overseas, could be temporary, could be permanent, we'll see... so I'd rather purge stuff and get new ones later on than trying to store, transport, ship and what not.

A big hello to all the Canadian Super T owners..

Been through Almonte a few times, as I do every summer on my way to grab the 15, then 511 and then get lost somewhere on a beautiful summer day :) Cheers!

    Shopping for a top case.

Thansk for the details and pics Gents... after seeing all these, I may get rid of my Yamaha top box, that's very tight for a full face helmet, and get a Givi or something 45-50 liters AND get rid of my side cases unless I go on a multi day trip. :)

Who rides where? Pavement, gravel, pick one!

I'm curious... I'm a pavement rider, bought the Tenere instead of a super tourer(FJR/Concours) since I'm way more comfortable on it.

How does a premium GPS compare to the Nav6

A "cheap" phone with a 4" screen, a 20$ data plan, well under the price of any "premium GPS" out there and google maps is always(more so than those) up to date. You can also have music, off line maps, take pictures, record videos, eck, even use it to call using data only with some apps and wifi...

How long to bed in the spokes??

For us 99% road riding Tenere riders, I would have loved a cast wheel version, even if it would have been a very plain jane 3-5 spoke wheels with no design at all.

    Big ADV bike comparison

Hell, I think we are getting fucked over big time on bike prices to begin with anyway... A new Tenere ES be the same price as a base Toyota Corolla up here in Canada. Thats part of the problem. Eck, a GS Adventure is the price I paid for my new 2018 Subaru WRX last winter. I get it, it's a...

2014 Yamaha Super Tenere for sale: $8750.00: 21,191 miles. Southern NJ

Good luck with sale. Out of curiosity, why the solar charger?

    Big ADV bike comparison

Not only that but there is the bottom line for everyone... the price point. I often mention it when talking about this but a ES Tenere is 18k in Canada. A loaded GS Adventure is 32k... and i', sure there is room for more option. A base GS with ES and luggage is pushing 26k I think. That's a...

Bar risers...HeliBar or Rox 2" risers?

I'm 6'4" and I ended up using those from ebay. Fits perfect and did not have to replace any cables/lines. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/YAMAHA-XT1200Z-SUPER-TENERE-HANDLEBAR-BAR-RISERS-25mm-2014-2017/262890673975 I have a Rox riser sitting on my bench now that I will most likely not install... or...

Interesting GPS GSM cheap tracking device for cheap

You need to provide your own sim card activated with a data plan for it to work.

    klr_done

Would not be surprised to see another bike with the Kawasaki 650 plugged in, think Versys with more suspension and 19" or even 21" front tire.

    Hanguard extensions/covers/replacement?

My temporary... maybe semi-permanent solution until I find something better. 5$ trashcan at walmart, cut some pieces out of it, matches the oem handguard plastic ok. https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/what-you-did-to-your-tenere-today.1851/page-582#post-345848

    These grips are killing me

Mine lasts typically 2 seasons. Easy to get on or off with an air compressor to push air between the grip and the foam, slides on and off easily like that.

    These grips are killing me

Grip puppies. Cant ride without them. Try it, it'll be the best 15$ you will have spent on the bike ever.
