    Suspension adjustment

Well now it’s the weekend and to answer my own question, laden sag did increase by 3mm with a full tank of fuel.

    Suspension adjustment

I’ve enjoyed reading this informative thread. So I have managed to get to 60mm laden sag; quite close to the 57mm figure. I still have a another line/increment on the preload adjuster to get closer to the ideal 1/3 laden sag. One question though. My adjustings have been done with virtually...

    Clicking noise over bumpy road!

I found this thread in pursuing a noise around the bike I was hearing whilst riding over corrugated road conditions. My noise turned out to be something else but thought it worth mentioning that I too had the click when pumping the suspension off the bike. Curiously, I found the bolts under...

    Damping Handlebar Vibrations

Hi all A mate of mine recently filled his GSR750 bars with lead shot. It wasn’t as easy as he thought, apparently he needed to drill into the bars at the mirror clamps (to hide the holes) to get the material in as opposed to filling at removed bar end weights. He reported a positive outcome to...

Don't touch the throttle on a cold start...?

Okay so all is well. Started it and left the throttle alone. Mounted the bike a minute later and rode off; no problem and no stalling. Thanks for the help everyone...

Don't touch the throttle on a cold start...?

I don't know, is this the case? I have had the 2018 ST for a week now and have started it three times from cold. Such is my habit (from other bikes) of starting blipping the throttle and riding off, but I'm just wondering if I should be leaving well alone until the ST's ECU handles the startup...

    A Dumb Question?

I reckon you’ve hit the nut on the head . The most plausible explanation because what exists there now is an illogical fastening method. Thank you. Dealer contacted now and they are obliging to correct.

    A Dumb Question?

Indeed after all the faffing (UK slang) I did start it up last night to check if I had got a good connection; all was well. Left it on charge as my suspicion that the bike being a 2017 model, the battery had probably lost some amps. So I hoped the Optimate would pep it up and restore. Curiously...

    A Dumb Question?

Hi all some help please... New bike yesterday, so last night I fitted an Optimate battery tender lead. What is normally a straightforward part to fit became a real frustrating saga which took me over an hour to complete. Upon unscrewing the terminals I was surprised to realise the screw/bolt...

    Vibration

Yep bike bought. Have only managed 140 miles or so but I’m pleasingly content with the whole package. Bought the base model as my preference to too much electronics. From what I’ve experienced, vibrations are barely perceptible and certainly unobtrusive although clearly at this stage, I...

    Vibration

I’m thinking strongly about buying a new ST XT1200. I’ve one concerning question. As someone who has owned a 2012 GS, 2013RT and 2017 GS lc, will I noticed an increase in vibrations. At the pegs and seat I’m sort of okay but I struggle to tolerate bar vibes. Thanks for your input in advance.
