What is the best way that you folks recommend to remove a tar globule from a tire? The tar is still soft and I removed most of it using hot water and an old Allen wrench to scrap it out of the grooves but there is still a smidge left.

Found this on the floor against a wall, not sure if it from my '13 S10, a '21 Mazda CX-5 or a '18 Ford Escape. It looks more automotive in nature like a bump-stop plug from a tailgate/hatchback. Checked the CX-5 and the Escape's tailgate/hatchback area and nothing seems amiss. Any ideas?

I have quite thoroughly checked through my Yammy S10 service manual for the size of the hex nut opening on the front & rear wheel axles with no luck (17 or 19MM ?). I prefer to buy a separate hex nut socket not one of those 4-n-1 hex axle tools. Thanks, MFP
