For the BDR folks.... Corprate participation

I really enjoy the BDR rides.... Just came across this info..... https://ridebdr.com/news/bdr-partners-with-harley-davidson-motor-company/?mc_cid=730dde13f7&mc_eid=41dc43d829 I guess Harley is trying to get serious about "off road"....

    Engine died

This could be very simple... It might be they didnt push the plug in all the way connecting the rectifier.... I have a gut feeling it's something along these lines.... If the 'poster' does not know how to go and check everything, might be best to take it back to the dealer where the...

I strip my oil change bolt.

For sure... I personally would not suggest this Amazon solution for this type application. Unless it was a "just get me home" emergency..... If the original person does not feel comfortable, suggest just throw a new one on...... (send me the old one so I can fix it and offer 'help' to...

I strip my oil change bolt.

VERY easy... just make sure you get the 1-2 hidden bolts that are "hiding" in the recess...... When you do take it off there is a "joining tube"..... Typically it will always be stay stuck in the top, or come out with the pan........ No big deal, just dont loose it and be aware so it...

I strip my oil change bolt.

Remove it 100%.... you do not want any "instal" garbage inside the motor..... You would also get a much better result working on your work bench, and not down on the ground breaking your back and neck ! ! ! If your going this direction, I would highly suggest you get this exact brand...

I strip my oil change bolt.

Install a Time-Sert kit and be done with it..... Stronger than the cast aluminum. The kit works very well and provide enough parts to do both drain plugs if you like....

    Rectifier/regulator beeping? Bike is dead

The blue and the other wire should not be in the same connection.... I believe the blue is constant.....

    Rectifier/regulator beeping? Bike is dead

I’ve never seen this in my life. My first thought (and I could be totally wrong) is that this is not a speaker beeping. This is a high frequency dump of power or it is going through a type of pre check power cycle. The noise is probably more along the lines of a frequency power ‘possible...

    Rectifier/regulator beeping? Bike is dead

Im not aware that the rectifier has any ability to 'beep'.... Do you have any dash codes... Because you just did the wiring, Im guessing you might have tapped into a constant versus a ignition "on" power... So something is being fed power 24/7 instead of "ignition on - only...

    Colorado Riders - Listen Up!

This has actually happened to me once.... Ive always had a habit of pulling to the side of a car, far- far right.. or in some cases far-far left... I virtually never pull directly behind a vehicle... My thought has always been, I would rather loose a leg than my whole body and die........ I...

    Colorado Riders - Listen Up!

(For me alone)..... This falls in the life category of: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should...... WAY to many people dont want you to "cut" and willl simply open there door, or pull over to crash you.... And then they will be the first on the phone to police and the insurance...

    Disappointing result LED (H7) upgrade

What you mentioned totally makes sense.... I encountered this recently with a friends bike. I called the folks that sells the bulbs and told them that there light instructions are wrong and the bulbs sit in the housing about 30* off.... and not aligned horizontal.... They admitted to me...

    Used S10 advice

On pure milage.... the more-mile bike..... But almost more important is how each bike was "over all" taken care of...... In that case I would choose the better of the two......... NOTE: for all potential buyers.... These bikes can do 300+ K miles... Ive seen many with way over 100+ K...

    Crash bar, Rumbux, Altrider ?

It's getting harder to find parts for this bike..... Way back in the day, I massaged these Altrider into a 'junior' set... Kinda wish they had put something like this into production.....

    Crash bar, Rumbux, Altrider ?

Altrider are the BEST, IMOP... (Material / engineering point of view) Very hard to get these days, even used, worth it.... .

    Unpleasant Surprise

Question : Has your bike been ‘dry’ and normal for a while like ‘normal’? For months or years? And just all of a sudden this oil has appeared? If so that is not typically a good sign. You might want to take a flash light and see if anything has popped up and possibly cracked the valve cover...

Power band flat between 3k to 4k after valve clearance adjustment.

Once you adjusted the valves, and you had the cams back installed, did you go back and "check the valve clearance" again to double check your work ? BTW- you can see the cam sprocket horizontal (to the case) hash marks by peeking in from the back corner (intake) and the front corner with out...

    Fog light

Always lots of light options.... Ha - How much do you want ? Ive always found that installed "higher and wider" is a pretty good combo...

    Fog light

I don't know of any that are direct bolt on................... BUT - pick the lights you would like to use for that application, and then come up with a mount.... The light can be bought "off the shelf"..... and there is a good chance you can find a mount "off the shelf"......... Add them...
