Went to remove my SW Motech skid plate for a oil change and found my oil filter clearance had been adjusted.

The second pic has some additional filter damage after using a monkey wrench to remove it.

Close call. The thing is I haven't done any real hard off road, just the few rocky trails at the Black Hills rally. It had to be just a hard thump from a thrown up rock. I never hit any thing hard enough to give me pause. Pounded out again and remounted fine.

If anyone has quit riding off road and has an "overkill" skid plate, please contact me. I hate paying new retail. I would send you back a well used gravel road worthy plate.

Done. A real pain with the Madstadt bars. I did have to reuse my modified SWM rear mount, and cut out for the Gen 2 cat. This Jaxon beast does outweigh the SWM by about 6 lbs. Previous damage also required welding. Peace of mind when I hit the rocky trails now, and won't have to remove the plate for oil filter changes. For those unfamiliar with Jaxon's plates, the mounts are all frame based, nothing mounts to any engine component.
