Depends on the model year of your S10. I understand some older generation S10 handle bars can be raised / pulled back by re-routing the brake/clutch lines. However, on my 18' S10, these changes are NOT possible wihtout brake extension line. I installed the heli-bar mount & I was VERY apprehesive about adding the extention line worried that I may introduce 'air' in the line. However, the instruction included in the Heli-bar kit is very good and very easy to follow! IF I can do it, I'm sure you can and anyone can! It doesn't take much to 'bleed' the the line at all. I got my kit directly from Heli-Bar for about $149.00. I'm 5'8" and the kit positioned the bars exactly where I needed it to be!

I agree with 'kmasa58'.
He has described my experience exactly with the Helibar risers and the brake line extension.
I will remove the extension when it is time to replace all of the brake lines and have them custom fitted.

One can only assume that the Rox Risers do not place your bars in the same position as the Helibar unit. Otherwise you would also need an extension with the Rox.

I have Rox on mine and mine definitely needed an extension on the brake side. It's just too tight in full lock. Despite being the same bike, there is a manufacturing variance in the rubber lines that makes some of them doable by moving the brake line out of the holder (but placing the hardline up against the back of the neck) and others are about 1/2 too short for comfort. For the price, just assume that you need the extension. Better safe than sorry is my motto.

In answer to your second question, the brake line extension is included with the risers.
