I'm bummed! No Pictures! I make it all of the way to St Mary's Glacier (around 10000 ft). Slushy and snow packed roads in spots, especially at the end of the pavement by Silver lake. I get all set up with the lake and the mountain behind the bike (one of those perfect pictures), Bright white snow everywhere, no tracks on the lake, blue skies, pull out my new Iphone and the screen is black. I take off my sunglasses, just in case the screen was just dimed and still nothing. I tried turning it off and on but nothing worked. I knew it was working when I left the house. On the way home, I put the phone in the inside pocket next to my shirt for a bit of body warmth. When I got home the phone worked fine. I guess this Iphone is much more sensitive to low temps, than my Samsung was. I'll have to figure out a warmer place to carry it in colder temps.
I had exact opposite, after 35-40°c/95-105°F the phone shut down, in both situation it can be a perma death for the phone, except in yours you can probably find a trick to warm your phone.
It could be a pocket or maybe a resistance between the phone and the protective case ?

I've found that heat in the shade doesn't hurt an I-Phone it too bad. . . . just don't leave it in the sun. It will shut off, but will come on after it cools off.

The Honda ST has a thermometer that will go to 122F. Above that, it will just start flashing 122.

Getting too good at finding closed roads. Waited until now to do the control road from Oracle up Mt Lemmon.

Pretty good and easy for most of the way.

Toward the top they had it closed for maintenance.
I did go a bit further, but the grader had left a nice loose lane and wind-row of sand, rocks, boulders and even small trees. Once I saw the grader ahead, I decided to turn around. I heard if you make 'em mad, they just plow you off the road and leave you to rot. Proof:

Since I didn't make it all the way up, I rode dirt back home through the desert. https://www.relive.cc/view/vWqBnVn29Yq

Another sunny day in Wales so took a trip into the Brecon Beacons ... headed up towards Talybont-Usk and took my hiking gear with me. One pic shows my bike parked up and I started a hike for a couple of hours. Climbed up onto the tops and went see a beacon ... the pic with the memorial plauqe to an SAS soldier from his mates ... for those who don't know then the Brecon Beacons are a favourite training venue for the British Forces, it was sunny today but still the wind chill was pretty cold, must be grim training up there in winter and in full kit! ... different gravy those boys ;)
Anyway ... a great hike and a great ride, amazing views and roads and a perfect riding day ... I have a couple of Gopro clips but QuickPro softwear keeps crashing every time I try and share them grrrrrrrrrr20210422_111312.jpg20210422_111317.jpg20210422_120134.jpg20210422_120156.jpg20210422_131209.jpg

Mogollon Rim Road. Stops at Knoll Lake, Bear Canyon Lake, and Woods Canyon Lake. The Rim Road is 40 some miles, excluding side trails. Gravel groomed well enough for campers. Many vistas.
