That’s a great idea! I might resort to that

i just couldn’t get them to not move.. once tight if they moved while riding I could pull them up by hand. At that point they easily move. This is on my wife’s bike. I may just weld a tab on mine and mount to that if I decide I want a pair

I got my GPS navigator and worked out the installation.
Also I made a cover underneed the instrument panel! (white was in the process, final end up black!)20210112_194715.jpg20210119_193455.jpg
I try to assure there was no interference for the ignition key as well as the instrument panel, also I veried no interference between the navigator and fuel tank. it is a great display (7"), is connected and I play around some yesterday, hope today I can play a little more.

Changed the front wheel bearings and dust seals. Used genuine parts direct from Yamaha, as there was only a couple of £ difference between them and an independent bearing supplier. Budget bearings were significantly cheaper, but I’m not prepared to use them.

TBH they didn’t really need changing, they felt fine. However I have a couple of big trips coming up (hopefully) in the next couple of years, so at almost 36k miles I thought a bit of preventative maintenance during Covid lockdown, for less than £30 make sense.

Rear wheel next, before our winter ends.

I love this thread and I’m new to the forum. I got my S10 in July. Put some miles on it did the initial oil change and took it on a trip up in the UP/Michigan. I have not done off-road yet, I would like to do a good 1 day or 2 day training. I’ve got 3 bikes(FJR & Indian Vintage) and have logged a lot of pavement miles but no real experience off-road. I also installed upper and lower crash bars, skid plate(popped a head on one bolt) installed gps with power, Givi side and tail bag... I think that’s it. Sitting at 4K miles now and considering a windshield upgrade and open to suggestion ... Great Forum !

I installed a tall Yamaha windshield (bought it used) and it made a great difference for me. I'm 5 foot 8 inches and a bit.

Hmm.m, here comes a valve set.
Not sure how many Ten owners bother to check or set their valves.
I didn't and put 46,500 km on my 2018 ES. Then I traded her in for a new 2020...Africa Twin DCT.
Look Ma, no clutch!!
My arthritis was killing my left hand after a day of riding.

Does, or will Yammer Hammer every offer any bikes in a DCT version?
I've only got 1,700 km on my Africa Twin DCT and I'm lovin' it.

Good to hear that I'm not alone on the Tenere vs. Africa Twin deluge.
From a performance standpoint, these bikes are very similar.
Having ridden alongside an Africa Twin (original 998cc engine) the Tenere marginally outperformed the AT.
The new version of the Africa Twin is a 1,084 cc motor with an acclaimed 7% additional torque. So, the Tenere, as we know it, weighs in at approximately 575 lbs or so depending on farkles, and the Africa Twin is in the lower 500's at approximately 525 lbs. Remember, it's all about power to weight ratio.
Wanna, really go fast, just buy a race bike.

Any idea who makes the Yam bearings? The ones Kwack use on the Zx14r are rubbish and we have had a series of failures at around 15k. So we replace them with big name quality bearings.

Finally got my zumo xt GPS and heli risers mounted - they've been sitting on the bench for a month due to my being ill - will wire gps and install brake line extension tomorrow. New gas cap should be here on Tuesday so next weekend should be riding time, weather allowing
