After all the work, we walked around the city. Enjoyed the warmth again. In the morning we started for the Pamir. The Pamir Highway, 1000 km long, is traversed in 5 days. From 200-240 km per day. Vertical drop from 2500m to 4300m. Many people here suffer from altitude sickness. There were many deaths. Here is one of the highest road passes in the world Ak-Baital. It is located at an altitude of 4655m. There are 7 mountains over 7 thousand meters high. Here you go along with the border with Afghanistan, China and the border of Pakistan and India passes nearby. In the narrowest place, Pakistan is 50 km away. You can talk a lot about the Pamirs! He is beautiful and dangerous. Therefore, I am drawn here for the third time.

There are 2 roads from Dushanbe to the Pamir, one through the Khuborobod pass, and the other through the city of Kulyab. This time we went through Kulob. We had to get to the village of Kolai Khumb, which is about 240 km, where they were already waiting for us. In general, in the Pamirs, you are led all the way, up to Kyrgyzstan to the city of Osh. And you must follow the order of stops for the night. Otherwise, you will find yourself in such a place in the middle of the night that there is nowhere even to put up a tent. There are also many military posts where you are recorded and also transmit information to other posts. After all, here sometimes people still disappear ((.

When you go in the mountains it is impossible to photograph everything. Around every turn, new views open up, one more beautiful than the other. On the way, we stopped at the dacha of the President of Tajikistan.

The next day, having enjoyed the mountain air and a noisy river, we moved towards the town of Khorogo. On the way, we stopped at the Afghan market, which takes place every Saturday. Here Afghans are allowed to cross the border, they sell their belongings, spices and much more. They don't allow themselves to be photographed. And the atmosphere was generally tense.

In the Pamirs, there are also two roads, one upper and one more difficult and most beautiful. Naturally, we drove along the lower road through the town of Ishkashim. In the evening we got to the town of Khorog, where we spent the night with friends.
By the way, we were frightened that in the midst of September the Pamir will most likely not pass, since there may be snow on the passes. But in the end, there was a hellish heat all the way)) and the temperature reached +41 degrees.

Why is everyone trying to drive down the lower road? Because it is divine here, here is the Wakhan Corridor, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It is about 100 km long. We got to the Yamchun fort. It is more than 3500 years old and is located at an altitude of 3500 m. There is also a hot spring Bibi-Fatima. But this time we didn't swim in it. Locals come to wash on Sunday.
Looking at the mountains and realizing that you are at an altitude of 3500m and the mountains open in front of you, followed by Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, excite your brain.

Before the ascent we met a tourist from Europe. His last shirt was torn. I had to give my own, although she was small for him)))
The third day is considered one of the most difficult, since in front of us was the Langar pass. First, this is an almost vertical road with sand and stones, 180 degree turns and a slope. Second, it is a sharp climb from 2500m to 4300m. Many people here feel very bad and have a chance to catch altitude sickness. But we have the old way. Before the pass we drink an analgin tablet and go. It seems that I never let you down)) Views are mind-blowing!

Nothing grows at an altitude of 3500m, few people live. The only danger is gophers. They are the size of a hare) And they constantly cross the road. The pass was fitted without problems. Next, the city of Murghab was waiting for us. It is located at an altitude of 3600m. For some, spending the night here is a whole test.
