Is it possible to raise the front fender off the wheel an inch or more? It seems like there isn’t much room between the fender and tire. I’m planning on getting TKC80s and would like to lift the fender an inch or 2

I've seen a couple people use some fabricated brackets to raise it slightly.
The problem you will run into first is the brake-hose that is routed over the top of the fender. You will either have to make this brake-hose longer, or do the double-front brake-hose conversion that sends one hose down to each caliper from the lower triple-clamp.

What SW wrote. I raised my Gen I front fender with some simple brackets I made in the garage, and had a two line brake line kit made up at a local hydraulic hose shop so that the lines came from under the forks down to each brake caliper, eliminating the cross over line. You will need a new hose block, a second shorter brake line bolt for the left caliper and some form of strain relief at the fork leg to prevent the new line from moving around and fatiguing at the hose fitting junction. There is no ready made kit to do this. The shorter bolt is the same as used on the right, (throttle), side caliper.

Be aware that if you have any lights mounted under the headlights, raising the front fender 2" will cause it to hit the lights at full fork compression. BTDT, had the broken fender mounts to prove it. I eventually fabricated a high fender mount and mounted the remains of my fender up on the lower triple tree.

You can run TKC 80s w/o raising the fender. If you want more mud clearance, first solve the brake line issue, then raising the fender is easy.
