So Steve, what is your mileage up to on the two bikes? How much have you used off your salvage bike? (Last I knew, he actually owns 3 STs.)

I don't get to ride all that much so it's not gained a lot. Them granddaughters take up a lot of time.
The 12 has 236,300. miles I know because I just got off of it. It was 20* this morning when I left home for a ride.
The 17 has around 28,000. Wife and I never got to take a trip on it this year. Hope next year will be better with no virus.

The third bike has been a great investment. $200. and the engine ran great.
I use the rear wheel half the time, I can always have a new tire ready to put on in a seconds notice.
I have used the stator, the ignition coils, I just switched out the clutch master cylinder because mine started to seep oil, I just need to order a rebuild kit, It has never been done.
I had to rob the hot grips controller because my KTM controller finally failed.
I use the seat lots of times because my original seat was made into a seat concepts seat that I have on the 17 part of the time, but lately I have been using the stock 17 seat on my 12 because it's not as worn out.

What a piece of junk. Only 236,000 miles, and stuff starts failing. :D

I have lived in south Ga my entire life and never knew Doc Holiday grew up 45 mins away in valdosta. His mother is also buried there. We took a short ride over today to check it out. The house has been sold and remodeled (apparently several times) over the years, which was disappointing.

Took a run up one of my favorite roads, Bouquet Canyon up to the Resevoir.
Use to live about 5 miles north of the reservoir. Bouquet Canyon and San Francisquito Canyon were my main routes to work. Several dirt roads come off both, that are a lot of fun.

Old stomping grounds for me as well. I lived near the junction of Bouquet and Seco Canyons, worked at the Shell station at the junction and attended College of the Canyons. This was back in ‘71 - ‘75 or so. I used to time my laps from the Shell, up Bouquet and back down San Francisquito back to the Shell again on my RD350.

We did a dual sport ride today that was just over 300 miles total. Half was getting there and back but we had around 100 miles of sandy, florida dirt roads. Who says the s10 cant play with the smaller bikes? We ended at Jennings Gp track and had a good time. Its always fun riding the s10 in sand. lol
