My first bike was an 83 'Yamaha TT500. I bought it in 1985 from a friend, when I was 16 years old. Sneakily from my father and kept it at my friend's house. I have no photos, I would like to have it with me. I should never have sold it ... Sometimes I think I'll find it ...

The very first motorized, two wheeled conveyance that I rode, was my mom's Honda Hobbit moped. My first motorcycle, purchased with my money, was a '77 Yamaha XS 360; kickstart only. I might have a picture of me, and the Yamaha; definitely none of me and the Honda. But, this pic is what the Yamaha looked like. I'll search for an actual "me & mine" pic.

No pic but first “official bike” (not including smaller 3 speed automatics with no clutch) was Can Am 125 Qualifier with a Rotax engine. Had a few Can Ams over the years even a 500cc 2 stroke MX. That bike would rip your arms out of their sockets.

My first bike was a Honda ct70 ,the one in the picture isnt mine, it was on a auction site and it fetched 5600.00. We had an acre lot in Meriden ,Connecticut , everybody on the street had an acre lot with no fences and they didnt care where we rode. I was 10 years old and we rode everyday after school. My riding buddies big brother was a hot rodder and he helped us strip the bikes down and painted them for us,mine was root beer metalflake brown and my buddies 50cc honda was midnight blue, we thought we were so cool.

The first bike I owned @ 18 was a new 1972 Honda CB500F. It underwent a few upgrades over the ensuing years. 750 pistons for 600CC, 750 carbs, Yoshi CR gearbox, Hayden oil cooler, Ceriani forks, 4ls waterbottle front brake etc, etc, and the frame evolved into a monocoque. Fun times, and I did learn that a single bike, my sole form or motorised transport, that was my race bike, road bike and development project were not always compatible.

Sounds like quite the trick ride for its time.

I remember drooling over the orange Can Ams with the Preston Petty front fenders in my first Dirt Bike magazines when I was a kid, I had a couple of big 2 strokes over the years and it always amazed me how guys like Jeff Ward could ring the snot out of those beasts.

But the first real bike I bought was a 1972 125 Rapito.
Wow , a HD dirt bike, I heard the factory entered one in a super cross race back in the day and it broke in half on the first jump, maybe thats just an urban legend.Your looks kind of cool for that era.

No actual photos of mine, but here's what it looked like new.
Mine was a bit "Beat-on" when I owned it........still a ton of fun though.

I don't know if I have any of the pics (definitely not scanned into my computer), but my first ride was a Honda ATC 90. Dad picked it up from one of his firefighter coworkers when I was 14, and my brother and I shared it. A Fourtrax 200SX quad came not long after that, then a Honda 250X quad.

First ride I bought for myself was a 1994 Yamaha Banshee

First street bike was a 1989 Yamaha Radian.

After that was the first of my 2x FJRs (2004 and 2008), then the Tenere.
