This thread is not the place to ask about side cars. Start a new thread, but also introduce yourself first by starting a new thread in the Member Introductions sub-forum HERE.

Then start a new thread about your side car questions for the Elephant Rally. It will help if you tell people what year your Super Tenere is, but for side car use, all Generations are effectively the same mounting points.

but 5mins ago just encountered a mystery, 1st time I've removed my seat and there 3 identical looking locks, what are these for please? thanks

3 locks in a bag I mean

The three extra locks come with the bike. They fit the Yamaha factory side cases and top box. So you have one key for ignition and Yamaha boxes.

There is also a Russian member that posted his and a friends with their sidecars for 10 feet of snow they get in summer. On a phone so can't search well right now, but ill look for it in the morning if someone else does not find it first .
