I never questioned its strength only its ability to slide off the tailgate. Also slippery when wet and very heavy.
I don't know about "its" ability to slide off. . . . but I do know my ability to slide off.

It's hot here too!! . . . .
Y'alls "hot". . . . and our "hot". . . . two different hots. :D Tell him 'hatter.

at 230 pm today its 93 with 70 % humidity...... forecast for Sunday is 106 , not a dry heat ..... God made Texas that way to keep the yankees at bay , then someone invented air-conditioning.......

No doubt about it, I’m better in the kayak than on a dirt bike. 3 hours on the river this morning, I am relaxed.

It was 104 in my shop yesterday. Grilled some drumsticks, and paired them with some non-covid Corona. And, yes, totally forgot about showing them in Food Porn until they were gone.

That kayaking looks really fun!! I have missed the last 2 seasons of my annual mountain riding trip in the Sierras. Even at this time of year there it is over 100 Degrees in Pearsonville and just a little over an hour there is snow and cool in the mountains. It's called Kennedy Meadows and really fun single track riding. The road leading up to it is treacherous!!

I have not fished out of the kayak as I have been practicing certain things like how to get back in the boat if I flip .... river its easy just dog paddle the boat to shallow water and get back in .... laid in the water at the shallow rapids just enjoying the cool water flowing across my body . maybe kayaking in Moab , now that's an idea......

probably at the river this weekend , when you guys are not dirt biking what takes its place ? I find that paddling is great upper body and core exercise , I knew it would be . after a 12 hour work day just to tired to do anything except collapse on the couch , so having the kayak to spend time on the river where the water is cool is starting to be a fun alternative to riding on these dog days of summer. the temperature forecast is back into the normal 90's for the next 7 days .

What you are doing is a solid exercise and great alternative for bike riding. The last few years my wife and I have been getting into bird watching. I'm lucky where dirt bike riding is an all year round sport. I can simply go to the mountains to cool off. I like your alternative sport much better though!!

Last time I was in Kerrville Texas, carrot and myself were to meet about 10 or more Texas tenere riders for a camp out and ride the hill country . Well a tropical storm blew in and carrot and me were the only ones silly enough to show up . I think 5 minutes after setting up the tents it began to rain and didn’t stop for 3days . It was miserable. We looked like swamp creatures every where we went. Had people with mops trailing our ever step in their restaurants .

This place is called the empty cross , it is on the edge of Kerrville set on a very tall hill with a great surrounding veiw . And as you can guess it’s a Christian site . That cross weighed 70 tons and is 77 feet tall and the inside span was 7 feet . 7 being the number of perfection or completion . Various bronze statues of Christ in different settings. A work in progress and worth a visit .

We stopped at this bbq joint for lunch. If you have ever watched bbq postmasters thing on tv you probably seen this guy . A little pricey but they gave you good portions and the brisket I had was very good . Not the guy in the mask , that’s just me . Buzzees was in and out didn’t get to speak to him . But worth the stop if your ever in Kerrville .
