Not sure how to explain my problem and what to do. Have a 2015 Super Tenere ES. Bike has 4800kms..Lately in both T and S mode and randomly in any gear and at any speed, when I try to accelerate the bike rev up but the rpm remain low and no torque or not feeling that the bike is going faster and then it accelerate as it should suddenly.
This does happen very randomly.
What should I be looking for to fix the problem. In the Caribbean no Yamaha Dealer to fix my problem...Kind of own my own and my no mean a mechanic!
Can anyone help?

It can be the position sensor of the throttle body. It has 2 sensors. If you accelerate with cruise control, does it make the same mistake?

It is night time here. Will try the cruise control in the morning and respond with more certainty to your question. Thanks for the help!

Discard the sensors. As others say, it is likely a clutch problem, but it is too few km for that to happen. With the front brake applied, engage first gear and slowly release the clutch lever. If the engine stops, the clutch discs are probably OK, and you should look for it on the clutch pump side.

Unless the wrong type oil was used to cause it. Even fresh oil change with correct oil might not resolve it. Needs a thorough flush/change. Maybe add 1/2 liter of ATF to clean and then change oil and filter again.

This comment makes me wonder if you’re hitting some false neutrals, i.e. shifting incompletely to the next gear. Two thoughts, first flush and bleed the clutch fluid, and second lubricate the shift lever pivot. From a technique perspective, make sure to shift firmly, deliberately and quickly between gears, no lazy foot shifting.

Antigua? Send me a ticket and I'll come fix it.
;)

Seriously, I do think there is some confusion with the translation of your first post, as I am not really sure what you are describing yet. Agreeing with the others, it does sound like you are describing a clutch problem though. Hold off on trying to change or adjust any sensors till you check the other possible items, because incorrectly working with a sensor can create a worse problem.

Here are some questions and things to try:

1. Exactly what oil did you use?

2. Sitting on the bike, put the front wheel up to a concrete wall or something else solid and slowly let out the clutch. Does the bike stall easily?

Well if it was a bigger problem and I know that no one could fix here, I surely would not hesitate to do that! Bit of Beaches, Bit of Rum..Free repairs! Not a bad deal for everyone!
Thanks again to all who have responded. I did worried for a bit!
The picture is for all of you! If you ever come my way, let me know!

Glad you got it fixed. Now, take the lever out completely and put some high quality grease around the pivot shaft and pivot hole. Otherwise not only will this come back in a few weeks, the lack of grease in this area will cause premature wear.

Will absolutely do as you are suggesting! Cannot afford major problem without tech on hands!
What high quality would you suggest? Will probably not find it here ad have to buy it on Amazon, which will be easy enough to do.
