It's unique to the Super Tenere, so not as much volume as a shared part, thus the expensive price. If I recall correctly, it's actually two switches, one for CC and one for the brake light signal. Partzilla was the cheapest I found.

Just ordered it on Partzilla. Couldn't find it cheaper and, yeh, unfortunately it seems to be a one-off for the S10. I have a 2016 and found it. I'm all but certain it's the issue with my CC (blinking light, restart to reset, etc etc). Thanks folks!

I tried looking for it on Partzilla, found everything but that switch.

I have always had good experiences for both prices and service from MotoSport.

Those last couple posts are of Front Master Cylinder #2, the clutch switch. You need to other part #12 on the Front Master Cylinder fiche.

Here's another related question: What is the part name that is the "connectors" to the front brake light switch? They are the leads that go into the switch, each of which has a little button on them that actually closes/opens the circuit. So, when the lever is pulled or released, the paddles inside the switch move and move away from or touch these little button connectors (or whatever they're called) that are inserted into the switch. In case I need that part, I wanted to know where to find it. I've looked at about every parts diagram I can find and don't see them. Hmmmm.... Any of you know the part number, name, or associated diagram where I can locate these? Thanks

THANKS for posting the link ! I did look at that page earlier but somehow missed the switch. Holy cow $98.29 for that little switch ! My Goldwing uses a similar switch but it costs about $12.00
Yeh, that's why I was asking. It's crazy. The part itself is nothing fancy. Ridiculous

Have used Suncoast in Tampa, FL a motorcycle junk yard. Recently bought a clutch master cylinder with lever for my 15 Tenere. Bought a few HD engines from them previously. Good service and pricing, they will negotiate price.

The brake switch on my 2012 is an ALPS part. I looked up ALPS switches, found one that looked the same ( ALPS SDDHA10100 ) and searched ALPS distributor pages for it. Here's a $3 example from a distributor in China. https://lcsc.com/product-detail/Rocker-Switches_ALPS-Electric-SDDHA10100_C390928.html
Mouser.com shows it for $5.22, but they were out of stock then (in stock now). I ordered that part from China, but while waiting for it, I sprayed DeoxIT D5 in the old switch. Now the old switch is working fine again. When the part arrived, I took the old switch out and compared them. They are as near to identical as I can tell. The new part has the ALPS logo on it.

Guys, if it is not for a '14 or newer Tenere, the switches are NOT the same.
It's likely Yamaha is using a switch that you can buy direct from a distributor, like the ALPS part a gen1 uses. You probably just need to find the manufacturer and check out the catalogs.
