My apologies for not coming here first. Been riding over 30+ years, blah,blah... confession; do not have a Tenere yet. I am certain though ,
it’s my next bike! Been on my radar for quite some time. So, I’m here to listen, learn and ask, to make the right decision when the time comes.
Thanks for letting me in!

Welcome from Texas. My dad is from Wyandotte, and we used to live in Temperance when I was a kid. Gen II ES....best bang for the buck.

Hello and welcome. What bike(s) do you ride now?
My current bike is a 98’ K1200RS BMW, recently sold 88’K 75S and 75’ 350 Kawasaki F-9 Bighorn.
5 others before those of various flavors. Hoping to get into the 21st century on a big bore duo-sport!

Oh my! Another Kaw 350 Bighorn rider! I had one back in the 70's and had a blast on it. I also spent nearly two years looking at all the other larger adventure bikes and talking with lots of folks, including mechanics at dealerships. I hadn't even considered the Teneres, and was leaning heavily towards a BMW GS or GSA or Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA, but kept hearing over and over about the bulletproof reliability of the Super Teneres, compared to any other Adv bikes. And especially compared to the BMW's, Triumphs, and KTM's. And also kept hearing how capable they are, even though they aren't as flashy and maybe not as fast as some of the others, but at my age, I don't need fast and don't really give a rip about flashy. And looking at every feature of the different brands. I knew I had to have electronic cruise control and REALLY wanted shaft drive and easily adjustable suspension, but when I saw the prices, the Super Tenere was a no-brainer. After I decided to go with the Tenere, it took me several months to finally find one that was just what I wanted. You'll LOVE the Super Tenere!
