Dirt bikes would be easy around the WRT, Super Tenere's change things. It's fun but can be a hand full sometimes .

I wonder if it's harder than the last 13 miles to Toroweap Overlook. I'm surprised I made it on my Super Tenere without dropping it.

I enjoy riding ,always have . I remember when I got the motorcycle bug((sitting in the back of my dads car in front of a restaurant , watching to electra glides pull out of parking lot then throttling up to speed while holding formation. I was 10 ) , more like an infection that will not go away . things in life at times kept me from owning and riding for long periods of time , but never lost my interest in motorcycling . do I have talent ? yes . am I a great rider ? I am as long as I am doing what I do. no tickets , no accidents , no terrifying moments , feeling that I understand what I am doing . I say that makes me a great rider . a competitive rider ,well that's another story . exceptional talent , no , im not that guy. I just love riding ,and for me if I get there and back in one piece , then I feel like a great rider. so hope to play with the honda this weekend , maybe I will find a small jump , maybe carrot will get my picture , if so I will post it. should be funny. maybe I want crash.

ballistic, use your beta if you decide to try the WRT..... enough gas for 200 miles , and a good friend to ride it with. the" hogs back" was the most daunting part of the ride . I would ride it again (maybe ) but I would use a dual sport...

so loaded up the bike and went to carrots . ended up just shooting at targets in the morning . then went to town and had a big lunch . then nothing , decided not to ride ….. had a good time … carrots birthday .

P.S . carrots bike would not start ,had to put it on the charger . by the time he got it started I did not feel like putting on all the gear for just a short time of riding late in afternoon. got a bit lazy , and I felt gilt for wasting a perfect weather day for riding.

so back on page 18 of this thread , I talk about my post moab problems with illegal dumping on my property and my troubles with the county....sold the property.... we have a sellers market here and 45 days after listing (more or less ) we closed on the sale today …. kind of a sad day and kind of a happy day ….but done with the fight with dumpers ,thieves , and a lazy county employee who goes after the property owners over the dumpers . so no more weekends cleaning up their mess . nice fat check to worry over now.

will not need my tractor ,so it will be up for sale soon. will not need the 20 ft trailer and it will be up for sale . proceeds to pay off the honda 450 x . I will buy a small trailer to haul dirt bikes or what ever behind the truck . and should ,weather permitting, have more time to ride the trails.

Good for you. I'm surprised it took THAT long. With all the rich immigrants (Californians, and New Yorkers) moving to Texas, and buying up our cheap property....nothing stays for sale for very long. And, usually, it sells for above list.

the guy who bought the place is from Austin , he has been looking for awhile . told me that everything is so expensive . I forgot to thank the cali folks for their help in the great price I got . and after looking at things and pondering over it , I wrote a check to pay off the crf450x... kinda weird , even when I don't get to ride for what ever reason , I enjoy just sitting here looking at it . according to the realtor I got a record price for that property in that county...

Of course the downside is that our taxes will keep going up for our "prime" property.

I just made it worse for my ex neighbors.

I decided why wait to pay off bike , I will sell tractor and trailer and replace the money. going to Waco to the baylor, texas game this Saturday . to many things to do .

Rode a lot of MX today, a friend and I put in a 35 minute Moto flat out as hard as I could go.
He never was able to make a move on me, he is 30. Seems like most of my buddies are 30, That is my sons age and they are his friends. All my old friends are to old to ride with me.
We got in some trails also.

keep it up , your old friends are just that . im still 20 in my head , and I know what I can do , going to keep trying till I cant.
