Tried out my new MotoPump Air-Shot earlier today and it is a great little unit. Front tire (deflated on purpose) was just about a 15 second blast of the Air-Shot and when I was airing my rear tire (also deflated on purpose) up for around 35 seconds the 12V aux port fuse blew. Rather than using another 3 AMP fuse can I simply put in a 15 or 20 AMP fuse instead?

You can, and some have, but it's not recommended because the wiring is sized for that 3 amp fuse, not for a 15 or 20 amp fuse and there is a real possibility that you will start melting wiring before the larger fuse blows.

Many, including myself, simply install a SAE pigtail, with an inline fuse, direct to the battery. Battery Tender, PowerLet, Warm & Safe all sell these for pretty cheap. I changed my pump's plug to the SAE, (NAPA auto parts store carries these in pairs), for simplicity. I also carry a SAE to Cig port adapter for other items, which is another method to ensure you can power the pump.

Got it, I am actually awaiting a NOCO X-Connect to SAE adapter wire for my fused NOCO X-Connect battery tender lead attached directly to my batt..
It was just the little kid in me that had to go ahead and try out the Air-Shot.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
The wire on the 12v port on in the dash is tiny. Off the top of my head its probably 18 gauge. That's not rated for more than 5 or so amps.

Are the S10's mini blade fuses specific to Yamaha or can you get them anywhere?

I'm 99% sure they went with the regular mini. Haven't held it in my hand, but there would simply be no reason to do anything else.

If you have a harbor freight near by, they sell a box of 50 mixed amp sizes for like $7. Auto zone probably charges that for a 3 pack....

I ant saying it’s right. I am saying it has worked for me for years, on 3 bikes (2 of them Harley’s) and a quarter of a million miles. Sometimes Laziness Pays off, Sometimes it creates more work. :)
No harm, no foul. Different pump, stubborn flat, longer pump run time to deal with it and who knows? Some pumps draw a lot more amps than others, even though they have the same size footprint. I just looked at a pump yesterday that was tiny, would pump to 250 psi, but drew 20 amps! I think my Slime pump draws ~10.

I put a sae plug on for a battery tender, and just wired my compressor to plug into that. Double duty. Goes straight to the battery.
