I am NOT happy with my Samsung Galaxy S6 (yes, 4 years old) and the Ram X mount. It either turns my volume down or turns my phone off about once every 3 rides.

I use the Mob Armor claw mount, It's a local company to me, and holds my Iphone 6 well. They sell two different sizes for larger or smaller devices. It is NOT easy to get the phone in and out with gloves. Though my husqvarna sumo vibrates so much the mount did loosen up and dropped my phone. I applied some locktite to the threaded knob and have not had an issue for 2 years with it on several other (multi cylinder) bikes

The case I have on my X4 has extended bumpers for the buttons. I cut the volume down one off as that's right where it lined up on my Xgrip. Hasn't happened since I did that a few months ago.

They make Ram-x mounts in different sizes, I went one size larger then what my bike came with. That worked to stop buttons from being pushed.

There's a thread over on ADV about phone camera autofocus mechanisms being damaged when mounted to a bike. I think on-road is not an issue but of you have a firm mount, which most of these are, it's probably best to put your phone away in your pocket or luggage somewhere if riding on rough surfaces.

I have to agree Jeff. My concern is I forget it's on the bike and it gets stolen. I'm so used to having mine in my pocket for years I don't want to change. Not to mention the distraction. I even have my GPS set so I cant mess with it too much while riding.

OTOH I do see where it is a great feature to have it mounted and use it as a secondary GPS.....

Also perfect squeeze fan. Known the owner/inventor for 20+ years so am biased but I paid for my PS and love it. Use it twice a day for commuting, holds up well.

I was never quite happy with my ram x mount on a galaxy s6 phone (yes, 5 years old now). It was ok at first but after a few years it seemed like the spring wasnt as strong and it started slipping down a little and turning my volume down or phone off. I got one of the ram plastic plate mount and have been happy with it for about a year. Cant take selfies with it in the cradle though, one of the fingers blocks the camera, could probably adjust it left or right so the cam is less blocked. Pic stolen and cropped from someone else on this thread.
