A few weeks ago my partner had a minor fall, suffered a brused leg and could not ride pillion. But on Thursday we managed a short trip to Newlands Corner (see previouse post) We sat and admired the view and drank hot chocolate.
We then rode to the nearby village of Great Bookham to our favourite butcher and bought one and a half kilo's of their dry cured bacon.
Tenere riders know how to treat a girl on Valentines day.;)

I decided to ride to San Saba, Texas which is suppose to be the Pecan capital of Texas. Other than some wind the day was beautiful.

The ride started out easy enough with paved back roads from my home in New Braunfels, Tx.

But before long I found myself on several miles of dirt roads. Sure glad I haven't washed the bike in a long time. Also, thought I include a head shot so you all can see my charming smile:cool:

Eventually I arrived at San Saba; took approximately six hours to get there. Google maps said two hours. I think I took the long way...

And, if you going to visit a place properly you should try the local food, a slice of pecan pie fit the bill perfectly.

Oh, and when you come to a fork in the road, take it... Per Yogi Berra.

Did about 200 miles yesterday, with about 20 miles of dirt roads north west of Dallas. Was a bit windy, and according to the weather service, the gusts were 35-40 mph. Thought I was back in South Dakota. Not a fun crosswind on a loose dirt road.

I have the new Motoz GPS tires, and not impressed with the front. They like to wash out in corners on dirt roads, a lot more than the E-07's did. Rear seems about equal.

What pressures are you running?

Running the recommended (book) 33 psi on the front. It should be better at a lower psi, but for what I was doing, I did not want to play with the psi. The tire does well (for what it is) going straight, and once in the corner. Just seems that transition, it loses traction for a second where the E-07 did not.

Not sure what to offer. Wife is running them on her GSA and at 36F 42R and has not complained. We used to ride a lot of loose to hard gravel and dirt pack roads in UT/NV/AZ and she felt comfortable, (I know I'd have heard about it otherwise). She liked these better than the K60s, but hasn't ridden E07s. I ran a set of E07s on my Super Ten and felt they out performed the K60s, but haven't ridden the wife's GS on dirt much, so can't compare.

It seems counter intuitive, but I'd consider raising the pressure a tad. Heavy bike. Leaning transitions do funny things with different tires. Normally we would think, lower pressure off pavement to flex more with uneven conditions. Maybe it's flexing more than desirable and that is causing what you feel?

Thanks, use to run 36/42 with the E-07. Probably will go back to that and see. Not much info out with these tires, and what everyone has found works the best yet on these svelte bikes.

Edit: Just for clarification, the rears we're at 39 psi.

Just had 3 days away with Mrs V in South-West England, based near Glastonbury. Only did about 500 miles but lots of little lanes, brilliant weather (and some fog) and a generally great time. S10 decided to pop a fork seal and headlight bulb, but all good - see photo below of a cloth used to stop the fork oil going all over the brake, bike and my boot! Surprisingly, it worked a treat. Also photo in the Cheddar Gorge.

Today I was going to wash the bike and pull rear wheel to get a new tire installed, Michelin Anakee 3 has gone almost 15k miles. I am certainly impressed. However, sun was out and temps were in the high 60's. A perfect riding day and I wasn't going to waste it . Plus rain will be coming later and one can always wash a bike in the rain. I ended up north and west of Fredericksburg, Texas. A good time.

First picture is riding out of New Braunfels

On my way past Luckenbach, where everybody is somebody, and glad I wasn't home washing the bike.

And another fork. And as Yogi said... I took the fork:cool:

Neat little crosing in Llano county.

When the road gets bumpy. I have to take a pee break... You young riders will understand when you get older:(

Rode approximately 270 miles. Not bad for an after lunch ride.

Amazing, that you can get this kind of miles, in such a short time.
Must have something to du with the "trafic" ;), and long road, without any houses/village.
Nice:cool:
