Great photos!
Especially for those that can only imagine.

Big Bob, it's like I know every square inch of your house on wheels! You even have the over-the-door home organizor. :)

I love it!

Worked great no issues at all. Going to pull it off and reweld it soon.
Got it all sorted, (daisy chained another ground clamp to make sure i was getting good current, and upped the amps). Tested its strength on vise this time too, its solid now.

Your suggestion!

I still want to see how you load 3 bikes!

Looks good. $130 good. Glad it made it back home with you. Was it still solid when you took it apart to weld it?

p.s.- The 360° VR photos are really cool, especially on the iPad where you can just hold it and spin it around to view. My Hope center is enlarging just thinking of the possibilities!

I'm "setup" to load 3. (chocks/tie-down)
I haven't done it yet. Don't know if I ever will.
Seems like more effort than I have the desire to do. (backing bikes in)
I suspect the real limiting factor will be wheelbase. One bike has to fit between Fridge and ramp door.

It was just as solid as when i left, had to bang on it a bit to get the jb weld off.

Glad the photos turned out sharable. Hope is where your imagination can become reality!

Well the 2018 Romney Cycles Camp N Ride is in the books now. It started with a less than ideal weather forecast and ended with a terrific Saturday afternoon and Sunday. It also brought together 53 riders that were determined to have a good time regardless of what the weather was doing. As he said during the raffle, Kevin (Romney Cycle's owner) was impressed to see so many show up and never utter a single negative word about the conditions that existed on Friday. It's like everyone wanted to be there and didn't notice what the sky was doing. We have such a great group.

Definitely want to call out Ed (Whistler -Stromtrooper), Alan (TwoDogs - YST), and Larry for their very welcomed and appreciated assistance at the sign-in desk. Of course Mike also gets and honorable mention for his time at the desk. All their efforts keep things running as smoothly as possible, and ChecksWrecks and I are always grateful for it.

I'm down to basically taking no pictures at this point. This is one of the few I haven't already posted.

Like ChecksWrecks, this was also my first Camp N Ride without leading a group ride, or even riding 10 miles during the event. Full disclosure, I did take ChecksWrecks's dirt bike out for a quick ride. I was laying on the ground before the bike made it all the way off the road. Not my proudest moment...but humiliation is good for the soul, right? All that non-riding did free up time, and with the great support at the desk, ChecksWrecks and I had a chance to ride over to The Potomac Center on Saturday afternoon. As most of you know there are kids who were not going to have the opportunity to join us on Saturday evening. Our afternoon visit provided these other children with the opportunity to sit on bikes, rev the engines, and beep the horns. It resulted in the same type of reactions that all of you were able to witness on Saturday evening. I would say I hope you all enjoyed the visit with the kids, but looking the rider's faces in ChecksWreckss photos, I already know the answer. It was a special moment for both children and riders.

Speaking of The Potomac Center...you guys pulled out all the stops and shattered the previous per rider record. 2014 was our first year as a charity and we managed less than $8.00 per rider. That number has grown over the years and reached a high of over $33 per rider. We don't have the exact total just yet, but we know we're over $2,400, which means at a minimum our per rider total is over $45. That is a fantastic result and a great total from such a small group. We have some very generous fellow riders among us who did a lot, but they didn't do it alone. Everyone helped make that total possible. Along with the money, there was also a full box of donated items that we took over to The Potomac Center on Sunday. So a huge thank you to everyone for making our charity effort so successful. The Adventure Riders at Romney Cycles have once again left behind an outstanding positive impact for people who can really use it. Great job everyone.

At some point we will probably be posting a poll as we decide when to hold the next Romney Cycles Camp N Ride. Thanks to all that have already given your input. Look for more on that in the future.

Now...where are all the pictures? There has to be more than I've seen so far.

Glad that worked out. Nice weld job. I like your weld table, looks like an old railroad plate.
The pictures were cool. I like how that works.

For Checkswrecks and I the Camp N Ride isn't over until we have the honor of presenting all your donations to The Potomac Center. Today was that day.

It was our pleasure to see the kids again and present checks totaling $2,653.40, plus 4 Walmart gift cards of unknown value, plus all the items you guys put into the box while here at the Camp N Ride. Although we were about 30 riders short of last year's headcount, I feel safe in saying our total efforts beat last year's final tally of $2,800. Fantastic job everyone. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. We had generous people attending, and also received some amazing donations from those who were unable to attend. You all are great.

Checkswrecks and I were able to spend a few minutes discussing next year's schedule, along with talking over the possibilities with Kevin, the owner of Romney Cycles. At some point we'll put out a poll to see what everyone wants to tell us. Informally, I know Checkswrecks and I heard a lot of people telling us September. But that's far from an kind of announcement.

Have a great and safe riding season in 2018. Thanks for joining us and look forward to seeing you all again in 2019.

A note to all of our participants from The Potomac Center.

Hi guys:

This picture will appear in the newspapers in Romney, Keyser, Cumberland and Moorefield.
I can't thank all of you appropriately for your compassion and generosity toward our kids and our programs. Here's looking forward to next years weekend with hopes of dry weather!

Sincerely,

Rick Harshbarger
Potomac Center

Here's one of the clippings. Feel free to replace your name when you see Bob and Jon. We're happy to stand in to represent all of you who make this donation possible. It's not the two of us, it's all 58 of us this year.

58?....yes, I'm counting the people I know about who weren't there but made substantial donations. Thanks to everyone who participated.
