I searched and have had no joy in finding a way to hook up a Scott's on the Tenere. Has anyone found an adapter for the second gen Tenere? I have a Scott's stab I would't mind installing on mine.

DO you really need a stabilizer? I was going to mount one early on, I did not. I do not think it is warranted.

Need? No. Want? Yes.
Some fairly deep sand surprised me on the 'road' to Coco's corner with my wife on the back of our Strom, I'm pretty sure the Scott's kept us upright... It paid for itself right there. When we stopped swerving around my wife said, "wow...good job!" I replied, "tell Mr Scott thanks".. :)

You don't say what year your bike is. 2010-13 would take one design, 2014-on a different design. Off The Road (OTR), offers this for both versions using a Scott's dampener. 2014-on version - https://www.off-the-road.de/en/XT-1200Z/Triple-clamps-with-steering-damper-XT1200Z.html 2010-13 version - https://www.off-the-road.de/en/XT-1200Z/Bodywork/Steering-damper-XT-1200Z-Super-Tenere.html

Perhaps they will sell you the parts w/o the Scott's unit? That should lower the price substantially.

I'm guessing you have a Gen II bike or it wouldn't be that big a deal to mount the Scott's unit. If you want it under the bars, SUB, the main challenge seems to be mounting the pin. Might need to drill some holes. OTR has a more elegant solution with their machined triple tree replacement, but at a price.

Have you contacted Scott's about adapting one of their other Yamaha kits to the Super Ten? Looks like they are located in CA. Short ride for you from UT.

Yes they will. My guess is the Gen 2 triple clamps w/o Scott's would be ~$600 USD shipped to you. My Gen 1 mounting kit w/o Scott's came to $260 USD shipped. Prices on their website include VAT, so any export order gets a 20% deduction for VAT.

I have the gpr kit and really like it. I'm with you, I like having a stabilizer.
GPR kit?

That Off-The-Road kit looks nice but..... Ouch!

Following this one. I have a Scotts in the storage unit (bought for the KLR I haven't yet fixed) and I'd love to put it on the Ten. I'm a belieber in having a steering stabilizer with big bikes in sand!

Here is the GPR kit:

GPR's are a love/hate stabilizer. Some guys like them for the ease of one knob adjustment. Others don't like them because of the heavy steering feel at the bars. For the Super Tenere this might be a great option.

As far as having a stabilizer in the sand? I see no need unless hitting a rock at speed. Some people like them for a more "secure feeling" in loose sand. I have learned to live with the bike moving and twitching in the sand. Of course this is just my limited experience with off road dirt bikes.

I have no clue as to how my Super Tenere will handle in deep sand. I can only imagine......

I bought the OTR kit and found a stabilizer on eBay . I like it for sand . I told silverbullet the other day that my bike feels better in the corners when the knob is cranked up. I do realize it might be just in my head.
