    Let’s see your Dog!

This is Griswold. He wandered into a family friend's picnic 10 years ago in a very rural area of South Texas... no one knew how he got there, nor would anyone nearby claim him. We didn't know what he was, how big he'd get (as it turns out, pretty big) but he was the sweetest pup. He's been a...

    *SOLD* Bill Mayer Saddles Seat

The forum member I bought this from in April of last year said it was designed for a ~200lb rider with a 30-33" inseam. I'm 5' 11" on a tall day, and about 180lb before gearing up. The seat fits me very well, though I will say that if I had shorter arms I probably wouldn't like how far back...

    *SOLD* Bill Mayer Saddles Seat

***SOLD*** Bought this used a while back, big time improvement in comfort over the stock saddle for me. I used it for about a year and then stumbled into a RDL seat that's even better for my backside so this one needs to go rather than collecting dust. Doesn't seem to add much, if any height...

3 X DI Water Flush To Clear Old Coolant and Honda Coolant Install 2014 S10 ES

I changed my coolant the other night and it had a lot of black flecks of what I think paint from the cap/neck? Has anyone else seen this? My drain bucket was clean, that black crap is from the cooling system. As soon as I popped the cap to the radiator I noticed them floating around in there...

Valve adjustment - more lessons learned

Yep, those pins had me confused for a bit as well! Rotate the engine a little more and keep an eye on those pins -- you'll be able to visually see when the bucket stops moving and you can check those clearances. Fingers crossed those two are in spec as well! Sounds like you might get out easy...

Valve adjustment - more lessons learned

I'll add my $.02 to the discussion here. There is a TON of great info in this thread and the thetenerist site -- many thanks to all those that have done this job before and posted up their experience. First off, this was everything it was promised to be -- a major PITA. In fact, I've been...

Valve Clearance - Motor Not Spinning on Reassembly

Totally agree about not skipping it. I'm right at 26k miles and I'm generally pretty easy on the bike. Most miles are highway touring and easy commuting. Every single exhaust valve was tight, 2 of them just under at .21mm and 2 of them worse at .19mm (spec .22-.28mm). Intakes were all right at...

Valve Clearance - Motor Not Spinning on Reassembly

Well, it's back together and running great -- thank y'all for the tips and well wishes. The amount of info on this board is staggering. I had read so much beforehand but as I kept referencing other threads after starting found tons of additional helpful hints I had glossed over that would've...

Valve Clearance - Motor Not Spinning on Reassembly

Ok, stay tuned... Ex cam definitely not in correct position. Lesson: One or two clear marks are better than a bunch  Ugh.

Valve Clearance - Motor Not Spinning on Reassembly

I hate that I have to post this, but I think I may have gotten in over my head... I'm right at 26k and checked my valve clearances this weekend. Unfortunately every exhaust valve was just a little too tight and out of spec. I marked both cams and the chain and zip tied the intake cam to the...
