Good find. I ran a set on a car, and the rubber/silica compound is softer, but fairly long wearing. For a bike, there is decent sidewall flex. I'll probably put one on my bike this summer when the riding season picks up.

I can say these tires handle deep sand better than any other 50/50 tire I've experienced. I mounted the front by itself, and the ride was quiet. After spooning on the rear, it hums a bit over 40, and gets noisy over 65. I'll post final mileage when these are worn out.

I'm 29, and have been riding since I was 8. Would have gotten a S10 when they first came out, but I was still post-college broke at the time.

Took a trip the the New Jersey Pine barrens AKA Wharton State Forest. Had a chance to pretend I was in the Dakar Rally, but couldn't hop off and get pictures of the good trails. Respect for anyone who rides in deep sand.

Thanks, I checked that out. At $350-400 for just the racks, it really makes the former KLR owner within me cringe a little bit. I've made my own rack before, just hoping to avoid wasting a weekend grinding, welding, and painting. Also, I see the Tenere as a 'nicer' bike, and feel like it...

Do all of the Jesse brackets have a left side offset for the exhaust? I'm looking for something symmetrical to mount pelican cases.
