Worth checking the centre nut on the yoke (triple tree) is torqued correctly, mine wasn`t from new, hit a bump and the bars twisted! Took it back to supplying dealer and he supposedly torqued it up? next service elsewhere and still not tight enough!

I had to have all of the stick coils replaced at 40,000 miles, corroded to hell despite regular servicing, two completely ruined, other two on the way out, bike was a bugger to start and misfired below 3,000 rpm, just a thought!

Gen 2, 36,000 mile service, serviced twice a year although spark plugs not checked at 6,000 mile intervals just replaced every 12,000 miles. Not so much the rain as the bloody awful salt they put on UK roads! Winter hose down and sometimes clean with normal car wash, come spring degreaser and a good scrub! If it's misted on gets into and protects electrics.

I had my new Tracer GT treated by all year biker (UK) in October, they clean the whole bike, although it was already clean!, and then mist with ACF, spary the electrical connections, under the seat, and it creeps in everywhere. I will keep it topped up with paint brush and cloth myself now...
