A while back my cruise started to drop out. It was the rear brake sticking so I replaced the pads and lubricated the guides and the problem went away. It's worth checking that the brakes are in good shape to rule out one other thing that could effect proper cruise operations.
To answer another...
Exactly this. I also use the water container when I go on trips in the car. We have good water here in the country and when I travel into the city I bring some. The roropax are nice and slim, easy to pack and make hauling water easy.
Finally built an aluminum pillion rack fitted for Rotopax cannisters. I cut slots all around the perimeter for luggage straps for other luggage situations. This one is smaller in overall dimensions that what others have used, as the piece I had was smaller to begin with. Thanks to Mak10 and...
The immobilizer shown in your picture is not the same as the one I am using. Mine is fully enclosed with a wiring harness. On my bike when installed the dash immobilizer light remains on and flashes. This light can be stopped by removing one of the wires from the immobilizer harness.
Maybe in the future but for now it's pretty nice living up here in Cape Breton. Except for the winter pot holes......
I have the sheet aluminium ready to go and will get to cutting and fitting later this summer. I've decided to make a Pillion rack to mount a rotopax fuel canister flat on it...
I thought about getting in touch but USPS cost to Canada cheapest way is
First-Class Package International Service™ at $16 for a padded envelope. I can get both sizes on Amazon here all in with shipping for about $23 US. So in the end it probably easier just to get them from amazon. I do...
I watched a Fortnine YouTube video which compared various fuel carrying options. It was interesting to hear that the Rotopax didn't come out as a top choice due to potential weeping and the requirement to vent the tank depending on temp and elevation. I was considering placing mine horizontally...
Nice job on that pillion rack.
For those considering making a similar rack what are the thread sizes of the 3" and 4" bolts?
I have some aluminium sheet so I think I'll be attempting making one myself too.
Air filter and spark plug change. I bought the bike used and it did not come with any maintenance records. So I had no idea on their condition. Here is what I found. They look like they have been in there a while so I am glad I swapped them all out. There was no evidence of water ingress in the...
Here is the long delayed update on what to do if you don't have a red key to make new black keys for bikes equipped with an immobilizer or your immobilizer has a problem.
I finally had some time to look at this again after a move and almost 2 years of house renovations.
As it was time to do...
Wondering if you made any further progress on this? It's getting harder and more expensive to find regular suppliers making stuff like this. So having another option looks promising.
MacKenzie Mountain Look-off - Cabot Trail
Weather was great sunny and 20C and I managed to get away from old house restoration duties. So decided to take a lunch, hit the road and do some twisties. Stopped off at MacKenzie Mountain look off and ate my lunch with a fabulous view. The winds were...
