What do we now think of the bike

Better drill some vent holes in the sides and lid, like a pet carrier (someone has to look out for these details).

Really good tire sale on The Mitas E09/E10 Dakar's and MC30 Terra Force radials from Twisted Throttle

That's a great price, competing with the Shinko 805. Thanks for the tip!

    Insurance Co. recommendation

Try Foremost Insurance out of Grand Rapids, MI. Very reasonable. I have four motorcycles through them including the S10 with full coverage, and the total is $240/year.

    Gauge cluster sun damage ?

My 2015 S10 gauges went black in 104 degree heat and sun in August last year, during a ride through Idaho. The gauges returned to normal when I got out of the sun. No other problems. I figure the heat was just too much for the display, but can't believe it was due to a windshield problem. I...

Which Exhaust Slip-On has the best sound / performance?

I am very satisfied with the Yoshimura RS4. After 10k miles, it still has a nice tone. Not loud, not silent, just a low rumble that makes me happy to ride. No fueling calibrations needed. And not a single complaint from the neighbors.

Fork Seal Failure Report: Anyone Else?

The fork tube guards on the dirt bikes are a definite seal saver! I also wonder if the high quantity of bugs and the resulting dried bug residue on the fork legs contribute to seal failure.

Fork Seal Failure Report: Anyone Else?

It seems to be the consensus that fork wraps are beneficial to seal life. So can we conclude the wipers are not doing the job and need improved? I do not buy the proposal that upside down forks are prone to leaks, mostly because of my years of racing KTM's and never having a problem as...

Fork Seal Failure Report: Anyone Else?

I think it is time for a serious fork seal failure analysis. I purchased an S10 specifically for a trip to Alaska this past July. It performed beyond all expectations, except... At about 4200 miles, a film of oil was showing on the lower fork legs. At 4500 miles, there was a drop of oil on...

July 2017: Overlooking the Yukon River in Eagle, Alaska. Camping gear was being unloaded at the moment. Check out the Falcon Inn B&B ::008:: if you want a great place to stay. Say hi to 'Bo' at the only gas pump in town.

Is the Super Tenere an "Old Mans" Bike?

Yes, I'm 61 and if that's old, then the S10 is my old man's bike! But regardless of age, I am willing to ride with anyone that wants to do a 180 mile day over 50% dirt roads in northern PA. I like to stop for a burger and drink during the ride, and maybe a walk around Jakes Rocks at the Kinzua...

where did you TAKE your Tenere today?

Explored the Ridge Road near Sizerville State Park in Pennsylvania, then stopped at the 1911 Austin Dam ruins.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Performed the 600 mile maintenance work, including the oil and filter change and the rear end gear oil change. I learned the SuperTech ST 6607 oil filter DOESN'T fit the S10. This filter is listed on the recommended list of oil filters at California Scientific. The threads on the ST oil...
