Ordering a left switch cluster to have a Euro hazard & flash to pass

I performed this mod a couple of weeks ago using the Kawasaki Versys switch cluster. As has been mentioned, the Versys and S10 clusters are made by the same mfg. (the only difference I could see was the S10 turn signal switch has the word "OFF" printed on the top. The Versys switch doesn't)...

Chging spark plugs....one plug won't engage socket

I've used a flexible scope camera like this one with good results. Great for hands free viewing of dark places where a flashlight and mirror would have been too cumbersome. Among other things, works nicely for inspecting spark plug wells before removing the plugs. Got mine cheap at Harbor Freight.

Stripped out fill bolt on shaft drive? Suggestions?

Looks like there's just enough meat on the fill plug to get a pair of curved jaw vice grips on to. Just go slow and be careful not to damage the drive housing if you do this. I would clean the area around the plug and put some heavy tape on the surrounding area for protection in case the jaws...

    Oil Filter Deal

Good info. Just FYI- Mobil 10W-40 motorcycle oil is JASO MA rated however, their 20W-50 "V-Twin" oil is not. This might make a difference to someone who wants to follow Yamaha's recommendation to use a JASO spec'd oil. I've used both and either one works fine. Steve

    Long Distance Touring Tires

Another vote for the Pilot Road 3 Trails. I just returned from a 7000 mile trip comprised mainly of twisties (including Beartooth Pass) and high speed secondary roads. The PR3s performed exceptionally well when pushed to the limit especially in the rain. They have a tad over 7k on them now and...

    Bar snake?

Tried the liquid Barsnake in an old Kawasaki Concours once. Made no difference but I doubt if anything would have helped that paint shaker.

    Shark helmets?

I've worn a Shark full face for several years now (don't know the model). I can tell you it's a comfortable, high quality lid and an extremely good value. If I wasn't shopping for a new Neotech, I'd definitely consider another Shark. Steve

    New wheels

Is that you Vittorio? Welcome! ::003:: There are no mags available that I'm aware of. Despite some folks having issues with the spoked wheels, the market for mag wheels for this bike is just not there (yet). IMHO we're still a long way off before the aftermarket produces a suitable mag, if...

    water pump

I know this is an old topic but I just wanted to add a data point. Today while changing the oil, I noticed some coolant had been leaking from the water pump breather hose onto the inside of the skid plate. It appeared to be a small leak and everything (today) was dry, just some old coolant...
