Tried to boogie over Cottonwood Pass from Taylor Park......................It was a NO-GO! Snow was building up near the top, and cars were starting to slide down the slope.
All I have to say is: I'm glad I have new E07-Dakars, Traction-control, and ABS on this beast!

Time for a military sea/duffel bag. I became an expert at packing. I think all that would fit in one. Before marriage, I could get all my worldly belongings into two sea bags. Cheapest, most durable, waterproof luggage available. I still use a flight bag as my current luggage. The wife hates it. :)

I can remember the day they actually had you stencil your SSN on your Army duffle. To get water proof you would have to add internal WP bags though.

They are also a royal pain when you want the first item you put in. LIFO (Last In, First Out)

I'm thinking they still do the stenciling thing, but our bags were rubberized on the inside; some kind of heavy fabric outer. My flight bag is plain canvas. But, yes, there was some planning required when packing. Stuff I never used went in first.

I have a roll top waterproof bag and I was suppose to have only one bag of food. So much for that. I still wont bring it again even though I will need it. I remember the stenciling stuff I think they still do it.
