I'm recently trying to piece my 2014 S10 ES back together after having gotten clipped by a 4Runner going about 65 MPH. My panniers and rack were destroyed, but otherwise the bike was rideable. The only other issue is that the rear subframe is bent and crooked.
I found an ebay listing for the regular rear frame (part number 2BS-21190-10-00), but according to the diagram the ES model uses a different part number rear frame (part number 2KB-21190-10-00).
When looking up the diagram, it appears to me that the only difference between these two rear frames is a single damper. I'd prefer to pick up the ebay listing for the cheaper rear frame rather than pay a dealer $650 for a part directly from Yamaha.
Does anyone know whether or not these rear frames are interchangeable? I'm struggling to think of how the ES and the Non-ES models would have any features that would result in the rear frame being different at all. However, at the same time, I'd rather not buy the wrong part only to not be able to return it to the ebay seller.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance.
