Ok so I screwed up. I had a 2014 ES and sold it after six months. Since then I have had two Goldwings, a 2014 and a new model 2018. I am keeping the Gold wing at my wife's insistence but after heading up to Memphis and picking this Blue 2017 ES with 5K on the clock I think this will be my go to bike for solo rides from now on. I got it for the same price I could have bought a T700 for but decided I want something more steet oriented. I now need more lighting up front and on the rear as I am really conscience of being seen. Looking forward to cruising this forum for headlight help and tail end lighting improvement.

The Gen2 has an unused factory accessory lighting connector to the right of the battey burried under wires. It is an MT-090 connector. Contains a fused 12v 20amp hot, negative, and a switched 12v hot which you can use to trigger a relay when the bike is started.

I used a Skene dimmer, between the MT-090 and two LED lights I picked up off amazon.

I trigger the low/high dimmer function using the high beam switch by tapping into a wire that is hot when high beam is on.
