Received my new top case from Metal Mule today and what a piece of art it is! It just looks bomb proof. I already had the MM rack fitted and locking the case to it couldn’t be easier. I’ll post some pics when I get time. Also changed the plugs today and whilst I was there I had a go at synchronising the throttle. The plugs were easy, but the throttles less so. I identified that the right side throttle body was the standard and was not to be adjusted by the white paint on the air screw. But I couldn’t get the left throttle to sync with it even by screwing the screw right in. I even took the screw right out and cleaned it to make sure there was no crud in there. Looks like I’ll need to take the bodies off for thorough cleaning.

hard to get them in the States , but very nice , probably my favorite boxes . and expensive.
Metal Mule do some great stuff all top drawer. Only had one of their racks on a Tiger 800. Am an Ardcases man when it comes to the boxes.

Nice looking box. Do those side handles rattle about on rough surfaces?

I bought a set of Metal Mule panniers last month. No problem to get in the States. Ordered them directly and they showed right up. Love them!

No, the MM rack is hidden inside a recess in the bottom of the box. This means you can put it on the ground and sit on it without damaging any of the locking components. It’s a great design.

I have Metal Mule panniers with the smaller top box bolted directly to a home made rack for trips. I use a Givi box when I'm not using panniers. The panniers were on my previous bike and I bought new frames from MM to fit the S10, Metal Mule stuff seems indestructable!!!P1020809.JPG

Certainly seems that way. I visited the little factory unit and had a chat with the guy who designs and builds them. He starts by selecting very high quality raw materials. They are certainly not mass produced items!! Reassuringly expensive!!
