It have a helinox and it’s been great. Some models fit me better than others. If you can sit in one at a local store.

I got the Trekology chair and sand cover. on Amazon. I also got a small folding table. I did a test camp with them and they are both very compact and comfortable. The table doubles for a footstool.

Rocky Creek came out with one a few months back that looks interesting:

And if you are looking for fancy:

I too have a fake Helinox One that I absolutely adore, it's unbelievably comfortable. It's going strong for about 5-6 years now, about 10-15 nights a year, at my 170lbs weight.

When it eventually breaks, I will buy a real Helinox.

I have a Kermit and a knock off Helinox. The Helinox packs smaller but you sit leaning back farther than with a Kermit chair.

Thanks for posting, esp the 'sand cover' link which is a must i feel as its really easy to loose the little black feet into grass. Cheers :)

I have the Kermit chair for base camping and the 2.2 lb Helinox style chair for when I need a lighter more compact set up.
The Kermit is definitely more comfortable.

i always wanted a kermit chair because i love wood and its a great solid design, but i cant justify the spend especially to get one here in the UK. I have had a fake helinox for some years which i rate very highly. it copes with my 240lb fine on hard ground but i had to make 2 tubular cross bars to put across the feet to stop it sinking into soft ground, usually when i have a plate of food, somehow it knows.
they also make a high backed version which i will get when mine finally gives up

I got a folding chair off eBay for my trip a couple years ago. Knock-off type, I had not really been much of a camp chair guy but figured I would try it and if it wasn't much good I wouldn't miss it. Turned out to be pretty nice and I still use it often. I toss it in the pannier on rides in case I want to take a break somewhere. I should pick up another one in case my wife ever wants to join me.

Something like this:

EVSY are you a member at Costco? They are doing a bloody strong chair that packs up nearly as small as helinox. Slightly longer back for comfort too. £30
