I have a set being mounted this week but I am in Denver and have no idea when I will be able to ride. As soon as I get out to Rampart Range road (fire road to easy gravel some days) I will report on them. I'm sure someone in the south will report before I do. Price was $360 so your correct they are not cheap. I had a $60 credit to burn at BMW or would have passed on them. Hope they are relatively quiet compared to other 50/50 tires I've had.

I try a different set ever other set seems like. 804 805 are my go to. I should just get another set of those but. I'll order me a set of the Dunlap's this evening. Rocky mountain had the for about 320 if I remember correctly

Mounted a set yesterday because of all the high praise. I've only had a short ride to scuff them in and verify balance at highway speeds but very happy so far. They roll smooth and quiet, weren't too ornery to install and look beefy. The rear got decent drive on hardpack dirt but the front still pushed and wandered in soft sand. Time will tell about mileage and wet road traction.

Other than the price they look like excellent tires for an Alaska trip, maybe that’s what I will choose next time, maybe Dunlop will be offering rebates on them sometime.

Rocky mountain does a good job. New shoes got here today. Will report on how they mount up. If the weather will let up some. My tire changer lives outside

I got the rear mounted yesterday, cold tires are fun to put on. Stiff stiff stiff. Will get the front on this afternoon and try to break them in Saturday.

Those look like a really nice street tire. Wish I had the skills to tackle the dirt with them. I'm forced to live on full blown knobby tires in order to get good traction and feel safe.

I have the very similar Avon Trail Riders. They are great in the rain, as road tires, and on most dirt roads & trails. Where they suck (no surprise) is in mud, deep gravel, and loose sand. If it's just a thin layer of sand on hard pack or on pavement, they are better than knobbies.

Checkswrecks, i had a set of Avon Roadrider on mine. I destroyed the rear in 2000 mls. Had a 2 inch flat spot in the middle. Have heard of this a few times. Still have the front on with about 6000 mls still good.

I have ran many sets of the 705 shinkos. The rear looks very similar. Front not anything similar. The 705 off road always surprised me on how well it handled. Of course it didn't do mud well but over all I was satisfied with the dirt performance. Never gonna beat a true knobby for off road in any situation. I'm hoping these will be the right blend of both and there not to hard for the wet payment.
