Have a small group of three riders on KLR's staying around Grand Junction in late August. Is the White Rim Road doable in one day? Any other must do off road rides in that general area or any other areas to stay and ride for five days?
Bahahaaaa!! What kind of math is that?!….Remember it’s 100 miles plus of moderately challenging terrain. The speed limit on the trail is 15mph.....I’ve done it alone in 4 hours....
It’s absolutely doable in one day. The speed limit on the trail is 15mph.
It depends on what speed you are comfortable riding at. The weather would make a huge difference as well. If it’s muddy or looks like your in for significant rain pick a different ride.
I’ve done it alone in 4 hours.
Just remember it’s 100 miles of remote trail with one way in and one way out.

This is yet another reason to not do these kind of rides with guys who ride stupid fast. I aged out in 2015 when attempting an event called Big Bear Run. In order to finish you need to average over 16mph for over 200 miles. The only way to finish in 12 hours is to blast the 25mph speed limit transfer sections at over 75mph. I was able to do all the hard sections. I chickened out on the fast sections. I'm smart enough to know that human reflexes deteriorate rapidly as we age. So I have adjusted my speed accordingly in order to react to conditions as best as possible.Just sayin for you law abiding guys
