Changed out the right front rotten rubber turn signal. Rubber went bad on both front turn signals and caused them to fall/droop down within 1 month of each other. $60.00 each for stock replacements with the running light for the fronts. Should have done the 2014 LED change.

Nice looking CB400F you have there, looks like it is a '75.
Thanks! I bought it as a very rough runner, and dumped way too much time and money into it. It's a ´76, the ´75s had tank coloured side covers. Sadly, due to time constraints, I've only been out on it a few times in the last couple of years. I keep it in running condition, but it's become an expensive piece of mancave art. :-( . I would say the condition falls between a fair and a good on Hagerty's guide. I'd probably sell it, if the right person (someone with enough cash, or the right D-P bike) came along...

Finished adapting then fitted a Remus Hexacone to my Gen 2.
I bought it used from a fellow owner (who had it on his Gen 1) without realizing the flange fitting was different. Dohh!
After some initial swearing and cursing, I set to with my angle grinder.
I turned a new flange on the lathe, cut three slits then welded it on to the connecting pipe.
Today I polished it all up with Scotchbrite then on it went.

I had a spare heatshield supplied with the silencer which I have cut down.
Just needs some prepping then paint.
So far, so good :) .

Moved a retired set of Mitas E07 to get our Christmas tree off the shelf. Went ahead and cut them up for disposal. Used a new set of Harbor Freight 18" bolt cutters to hack the bead. Much easier than any saw!

I'm adjusting the valve clearances - 6 of 8 are below the minimum clearance at 42k miles. I don't think they have been done before.

Now waiting for the shims to be delivered to the Yamaha dealer, but not the Yamaha dealer who told me I had to buy each shim size in minimum packs of 5 (that's 5 at £9 each, 3 different sizes needed so they wanted £135)!

Nice setup!

How were the clearances? I'm guessing in spec.

They were close to spec, I run mine on the fat side. Had to stone one shim to size because the hotcams kit didn't have half sizes. I also took the time to collect data on the cams and camshaft cap bores

I had been watching that ABBA SKY LIFT, I had my doubts if it would work on S10. I see that it works, but I also see that you made some modifications.

Yeah I re designed the whole lifting arm. Its a brilliant idea for working on bikes. You have to be serious about wanting one though for the price.

At some point I am going to make my own beefy design of it for personal use. The Tenere is definitely pushing the limits of the original ABBA lift, as well as other adventure bike I have had on it. A few years ago I had posted some pictures of what I did and didn't get much interest other than people cutting me down so I quit developing it. Had a lot of people that were happy with their $100 harbor freight lift and wanted to argue that I spent to much money and wasted my time....I will stop before I go into my rant....

Also made an indestructible skid plate too. Better than any of them out there....No go on the idea of selling these either, people wont pay for quality so I make cool stuff for myself, screw it.

I’ve got a Skylift that I use with my zx14. Id love to use it on the s10 too. Neither bike has a main stand but it’s more of a pain with the s10.

How did you modify your skylift?
