I sent my 2012 ECU off to get flashed, and it got stolen in transit  I'm working with UPS to get an insurance payout, but it may never materialize, and if it does, we're talking weeks of summer burning away if I wait for the payout + the time it will take to get the new one flashed. It could be well into fall before I can ride again. So I want to buy one asap. Anyone know of one for sale? A big plus if its already flashed!

Explain stolen......did the box show up opened and empty? Has the box just disappeared? Was it insured for full value? Who did you send it too?

What country ?
What amount was it insured for ?
What makes you think it was stolen ?
What is the cost for a new ECU ?
Hopefully everything gets worked out !

The package showed up with a hole at it at the place that was going to flash it. I'm the sender. The shipping included $500 insurance. I filed a claim the moment i found out. No progress yet from UPS. It's going to take weeks. The best outcome I even dare hope for is UPS paying out the insurance. Either way though, I don't want to wait to get an ecu. Tired of not riding.

So the Super Tenere needs re-flashed so badly that a dark, chaotic underworld of ECU thievery is beginning to develop??? Say it isn't so!

Sorry! What about the insurance on your bike?
Thanks for the tip. I called my insurance this morning, but they won't cover it unless the thief physically removed the component from my bike. I personally don't see much of a difference... The outcome is the same--it renders my bike unusable until I buy a new part. I found a used one on ebay for $550. I'll probably go that route and hope UPS comes through with the insurance payment.

Looks like today there are 2 used ECU’s for Tenere’s on eBay , I don’t think there were any yesterday , you should probably hurry up and buy one before it’s gone
