im better but still to much stuff I think on my bike.... but its in the boxes now..... if one visualizes a giant duffle bag strapped across the back of the bike , well that was my first time.
Things get a bit top and rear heavy and i find steering gets twitchy.
But then i have a 21" front wheel it doesn't take much to get twitchy on the interstate.

as its starting to be prime camping and riding weather , I may replace my top box with a soft bag just for camping. not real big but a little larger than my top box , so I can stuff it with the small items like socks.

Going, going gone. Have stripped my gear down to what's needed; just under 30kgs (66lbs). The photos record my progression from my first multi week ride to most recent.

The bags are Micatech V2 bags. The left one is 8" (37 litres) and the right one is 10" (45 litres). I added the "roof racks" as well which allow items to be strapped to the top of the panniers.

I have an older version of the Eureka Apex 2XT tent http://store.eurekatent.com/apex-2xt. I carry the tent, foot print, tools and extra gear (rain pants, gloves) in the 8" pannier. My moto-camp trips do not include cooking. I hit up restaurants for breakfast and dinner and carry a snacks/ drinks for rest stops.

The top box is a 1550 Pelican case. It has 12V plugs inside for charging on the fly as well as a supplemental running/ brake light on the back. I also have rings mounted on the top to strap more crap on if necessary.
What "roof racks" did you add, I'm looking to modify my OEM panniers and looking for ideas.... Thanks in advance

I've pretty much got this as my regular 5+ day trip setup. Tankbag for stuff I want to access, tail 65l drybag with handles. Tools & first aid etc in one saddle, cloths & laptop in the other.

And with the straps long enough so I can put the jacket on top for extra hot days (just ride in the 661 pressure suit)

I have an Excel spreadsheet ;-)

(Seriously). Looking for something particular or just my packing list?
Oh just besides the clothes, thermos, first aid kit and obvious things, there's just a lot of things I don't recognize so I was wondering if you had a list that's all.

New bike, same luggage. Two 40L Caribou cases, Givi E45 topbox, medium Wolfman duffel and the Yamaha tankbag. I would love to ditch the duffel as it makes mount/dismount an adventure in itself. 00616615-786A-4B41-A258-E0BE2E0B9CB8.jpeg

That's a lot of litres. It's a great fit. How sturdy / floppy do you think those 'wing' bags would be if the bag were moved back to the luggage rack? Would they need support? Thanks!
I dont thinking its really 115lts. More like 60. Haven't tried it on the rack but probably ok. Have a read of reviews on adventure rider forum etc. People love them and using for years.
