Took a ride Sunday and nearly had a crash bar test incident! I was out later in the day on Sunday taking a bunch of roads that lead out to St. Mary's river edge since it was a little cool for long rides at extended higher speeds. This one particular road is heavily wooded, low land area so I knew there might be some water and muddy sections. I made to the shoreline where I had to turn around in a shallow water section and was making my way out through the muddy and patches of snow when it happened, the front tire skidded to left then the rear quickly followed suit which left me headed across the center of the road heavily leaning to the right! I guess my instincts reacted as I was slidin' and leanin' I stomped the ground with my right foot an to my surprise she straightened right up giving just enough time to veer back left to keep out of the water filled ditch of unknown depth. It was a good signal to me that I need to watch where I take the S10 with the stock tires and that I better start looking for a Motoz dealer soon!

Haven't lifted the tank since the hi-idle/no-idle recall months ago, so a thorough check-out under there was in order. Everything's tight, all good, dealer did a nice job routing harnesses. New set of K60s spooned on. Oil, filter and final drive change coming up soon.

All in preparation for leaving for AK in three weeks!

New to the site. Has anyone had the instrument cluster break off of their Super Tenere 2013 before? I ordered the part but dont want it to break again. I would like to beef it up or make it so it doesnt happen again?

Today I lowered the angle of my shift lever. First I tried to loosen those lock nuts on the threaded rod, but the bottom one didn't want to come loose, so I pulled the piece off the shaft and repositioned it on different splines. Does that make sense? Anyway, which is the real prefered method of repositioning the lever?
