I shut my bike down and maybe it was in sport mode, not sure. Upon restarting it it felt very "jerky" on the throttle.
It was in Sport mode which for me is no good for city traffic use. So I changed it to Touring mode.
Does it or is it supposed to go to Touring mode after the key is switched off??
Am I confused with the ABS I think?

Give it a chance. For ME, "S" is perfect for city work. Things tend to happen quicker in the city, therefore I need the bike to react quicker. I'm not arguing that "S" is jerky....until your wrist recalibrates. Now, if I use "T", especially in town....I stall it. Some people never get used to "S"; and that's where the "flash" comes in. Enjoy.

Well put. In "S", she's loses a hundred pounds. But, like I said, some people are not able to adapt.
OK, I get, if you want response as in right now, keep it in S mode.
I've got 1,400 KM (900 miles) on my new Tenere so, I yup need to calibrate my right wrist. This is probably one reason I stalled the engine the other day in a tight right hand turn and of course down she goes!!!
(Gravel parking lot). On the way down are you supposed to shout "Tiiimmbrrr" or holy fuck, what now?
Crash bars - SW MOTECH saves the day again.
This bike should come equipped with crash bars. JMHO.

I found this dyno test, where they tested the jumper of the first three gears for Gen 1, as a surprise who did it, was found that in mode T, the fall of HP, was real even at full throttle. It would be true?, I had understood that mode T or S, was more a way to administer the accelerator, not the HP as well.

Might be my age but I only enjoy the bike on sport all the time! The sound is different too.
Would enjoy more with a nicer exhaust sound tough!

I to had a tough time with the s mode when I first got my bike. After a long learning curve of training my right hand now a year later my bike stays in s mode. I still drop it into t just for the heck of it but it is really not necessary to me anymore.

A Si, muy interestante. Para ahora, a me, prefiero T moda.
Possiblemente en el futuro yo puedo tratar a usando S moda.
