Only photo I have:

I have since switched to the BC35's, they carry the weight much lower and I liked the versatility for commuting:

The Reckless system is a lot larger than I had envisioned. The weight also seems higher as well.
I noticed you also have a large duffel in addition to the Reckless.

Side note: I've got family in Lawrenceburg.....great little town. Hope to settle in the area within the next couple of years.
Let me know if your going to be in the area or when you get relocated.
I live in the south part of the county close to the Four Roses distillery.

Yeah, that was early on....an exercise in over-packing to be honest. After a few trips I got rid of the useless junk I was hauling for "just in case" and now the essentials fit in the BC35's and a Stinger 22. Food/cooking gear/sneakers/some extra space for souvenirs in one bag, all the camping stuff in the other bag. Clothes/bathroom kit/towel/laptop/miscellaneous stuff in a Stinger 22, although I'll swap that for a BC40 duffel if I feel the need to carry a bunch of extra gear for some reason. If I'm doing the hotel thing, I ditch the Stinger and put all of it's contents into the saddle bag that would normally hold the camping gear so I can travel light and fast.

I just ordered the R80's to swap between the ST and the DRZ. Wanted something that would work for both and was soft without pannier racks. If there are any questions let me know. I should have them in a week or so and I can answer.

What brand of rack do you have to support the BC35's? I'm looking to get a set of paniers and love the look of these Moskos.
I lucked into a set of used Metal Mule racks for a sore dick price but if I had to go new I'd look at the Givi's (either permanent mount or quick release). The Givi's seem to be priced very reasonably. Moose Racing or SW Motech are a bit more expensive options.

If I had to do it all over again and money was no object, I'd look at the Bumot system......you get racks and excellent hard boxes with a soft bag option available.

Would like to hear your experiences with these. Saw them and heard a speil at the Progressive motorcycle show and was impressed. They seemed to be durable, versatile and easy to use. Lots of options with them.

I imagine that you used the R80's without a rack - how did you find the stability (and functionality) of the setup?
Actually there are racks under there. The rather large gap that our bikes have between tire and fender on the right side necessitated that I put racks on to accommodate the throw-over Nelson Rigg soft bags I employed prior to the R80 purchase. That said, the Mosko R80 rig straps down rock-solid, is pretty stout, and would likely have been fine without a rack but I can't really say for sure. Perhaps someone else running the R80's without a rack can chime in here?

Functionally it's a great setup and worked well for me. I really liked being able to use one of the waterproof bags for a cooler after it had been emptied and camp set up (holds a 12 pack and a bag of ice quite nicely!). I opted for the BC-35 in the end because I wanted to get the weight as low as possible to counteract the top-heaviness caused by the fat guy sitting in the saddle.

How does the R80 work on the ST without a rack?

I have an R40 that I switch between bikes, I had it on my ST once before my racks got here to mount my Scout 25L's. The Reckless systems are very easy to use and mount, obviously it's not rock solid so you may want to put something between it and a painted surface but that being said it's pretty secure for something that straps to the bike.

A few days ago I received the new Reckless 80 Revolver.

It fits the T12 like a glove and sits rock solid when mounted.

Now my bike is ready for new adventures - if only all the borders wasn't closed...

Later I'll post more pictures with the system properly packed - and review it when I've used it for travelling.

Man Don, That is an outstanding setup!! Mosko Moto is the very best soft luggage hands down!! Mind if I ask what footpegs you have? Are they a little wider than the OEM and made out of aluminum?

It's SW Motech EVO footpegs:

They are wider and larger than the OEM pegs.
I have mounted them in the lowest position (-15 mm).
They have made a bigger difference than I had expected. I really like them.
