Does anyone have a picture(s) of the Sandstone Tenere with silver colored crashbars ? I'm outfitting the bike and am looking at silver finish versus the black finish.
I suppose I could photo shop it - but figured I'd ask.

Your whole setup looks slick. What front and rear bars are those? What tank bag?

Hi, the pannier racks are Touratech and the tank bag is an older Giant Loop Diablo. I now have replaced the tank bag with a Wolfman Blackhawk as it has a few more user friendly features and I can take the bag off and just tuck the straps away when I'm not using it on local rides. And as Don says the crash bars are Altriders.

I was able to find this '17 Desert Sandstone Tenere at a dealer a few weeks ago with just 4 miles on it. A small discount plus OEM panniers and I was out the door. I wanted to see how the silver bars and plate would look vs the black on the bike. I was unable to find a Sand Tenere with silver on it via online images, so your replies have helped. Again, thanks.

Sweet! I think they look so much nicer before we start hanging all these heavy accessories on them. Alas the culture of adventure bike ownership.

I've been shopping panniers, Caribou/ Pelican has some cases available in tan (through Pelican, not through Caribou). Might look pretty cool. You could buy the rack/ attachment from Caribou, buy the cases from Pelican. They have a blue, too, but lighter then the 2018 blue.

I have the Sandstone as well and was looking for the same thing. I do like the silver crash bars, they 'break up' the black side cowlings very nicely. I've been looking at Givi Outback Trekkers and wonder if their luggage racks come in silver as well? Enjoy the ride

Hmmmm, I wonder if they sell touch-up paint in rattle cans. Maybe color match the crash bars....

Not sure how close for the silver, but the semi-gloss for black from Rust-Oleum is pretty much a match on my bars. And the rust protection is nice, at least to the next time.

And that's what I was thinking, if you scratch/ding it....just repaint it. Color match/accent certain bits and parts for a one-of-a-kind look. Not a lot of effort required.

It's almost all put together. I went with silver to break up the black. I've only a few things left I know I want. Tires, aux lighting, a tank bag and a water resistant duffel for the back then I'll be set. It's not my old KLR but it will get me by. AltRider for the protection hardware and Rox risers and Madstad for the windshield riser.
