No Super Tenere shown in the 2014 model year line up but "Adventure Touring" is mentioned in the top paragraph

read my previous post and follow the link. They did the FJR thing.

There's a PDF spec sheet you can download.  Nice, but if you already have one of these bikes, this won't make you run out and buy a new one. Or it won't make me do it. Nice model improvement.

Just over the horizon there’s a new kind of 2-wheeled animal heading this way. It’s provocative. It’s naked. And it’s agile.
The Dark Side of Japan is about to deliver another rude awakening to the streets of Europe.
And resistance to this unstoppable force is impossible.
Now, more than ever, sleeping bikers have a reason to rise up and ride.

"Shaft drive with rubber clutch damper
Shaft drive is vital for any serious long distance adventure rider, and the XT1200ZE is equipped with a rugged and reliable system that efficiently delivers the huge torque output to the rear wheel. And for increased comfort and durability the latest model is fitted with new rubber clutch dampers that give an even smoother ride."

I guess they were listening....

Oh...and ANOTHER 8lbs!

They also say "modified engine internals boost power to 82.4kW".  That is ~110 hp.  I thought that is what the Tenere was always rated at?

That would be about what the FJR gained with the dynamic adj suspension.

Here's the other differences. Not many other than details and refinements. I'm guessing that most of this stuff will be backwards compatible.  So rather than trading off what you have, replace with the new items.

Pretty easy to figure out the details, though...

The "E" has slightly more power, no doubt from simply some ECU tweaks, and it's lower to the ground and heavier, which implies the electronic controlled suspension similar to the FJR compromised ground clearance a bit. At least it got cruise control...
