U.F.O. Project
« on: August 05, 2012, 08:59:52 pm »
This part of project started thinking to improve light capability. The entire project include rear lamps too.
When I bought the ST I put crash bars and a pair of Hella FF50 connected to the high beams. Total power was 220 Watts.
Was fine, but then thinking to add a pair of auxiliar lamps for day driving,  think to change all.
The option was change original halogen lamps for Xenon lamps of 35 Watts and 4300K , add a pair of led lamps of 30 Watts for high beams an another pair of led lampsof 9 Watts for day driving. Total Power is 148 watts.
First impression is not the best. Brightnes is excelent, wonderful, but I think that configuration lost reach of ilumination. May be I haven´t the correct words to explain correctly in english, but I think earn brightnes but lost reach. Obviously compared with the last configuration, if compare with the factory configuration I´m sure I earn a lot.
To be clear, was the first impression, may be when I´ll start to use the bike I´ll  be sure about how much earn and if I lost something. In some days more winter is ending and I´ll start to ride again ( live in Tierra del Fuego)
Here you have some pictures
