The S10 stock headlight is terrible in turns. On a freeway ramp at night, it's like driving into blackness. I have to slow down to 10mph and fear getting rear-ended.  I agree with Mellow, the priority must be that it throws light on the road. But especially, it should be effective in turns.

I also agree with bloodline, it should be rock-solid and powder-coated to look like it belongs there in an otherwise gaping hole.

With the right design, it could become almost standard for every S10 owner to buy one, for both safety and looks.

Especially if it plugs right into the stock Yamaha harness where Yamaha's own fog/driving lights plug in...  ::008::

+1. Plugging in to the harness will be ideal - then i can also use it on my other yamaha quads in the winter

Depending on price, i'd be interested, especially with a plug and play into the OEM fog lights harness.

Great price and great looks, and you got one more customer for sure. Email/PM me when you get going. Any way to make them hefty enough to act as baffles for the wind that shoots up there at my face would be a blessing too. :) Oh, and it would have to work with / attach to crash bars up there... mine are Rumbux....  good luck!

After thinking about this for a bit, here is my wish list.... In no particular order.

Solid mounting that has a finished/refined look to it. Possibly even with a gap filling bezel to completely fill "the void".
Combination spot/flood patterns. With tons of lumens, of course...
Separately switchable. Off, on, spot only, flood only and both.

No remote dimmer needed for me.

Keep us posted!

Thanks!
Dave

I'd be happy to have one to backup the Yamaha PIAA lights that I have on the crash bars. I guess I'd need to splice that in though.
The force is strong with this one!!!

On another note, I think the S-10's headlights are incredibly good compared to the vast majority of OEM headlamps. That said, I found mine were *GROSSLY* mis-aimed right out of the crate...  Some simple, quick headlight aiming and re-alignment turned them into the wonderful headlamps they are.

Those who find the stock headlamps lacking might try some adjustments and see if things improve.

Just my two centavos... YM, of course, MV.

While you are at it why not come up with a line of panniers, crash bars, racks, etc. Touratech makes some good stuff but Baja Designs is an American company with a very respectable name in off raod motor sports. More options for us here in the good ole USA! Those Squadron light on my bike are nice! They act as extra running lights during day time and incredible illumination at night at full blast! ::008::
