Hello,

I'm Paul. I have been gong on trips, with my friend George, looking at different dual purpose bikes.  We have kicked the tires on BMW's, Honda's, KTM's and Yamaha's. I believe the Super Tenere offers the best bang for the buck.  I have owned a 96 Valkyrie for fifteen years and a Yamaha FJRror nine years.  I have probably ridden a total of two thousand miles a year.  Between work and some rentals, I never found the time.  I retired two years ago and now have time to ride.

George and I rode the Natchez Trace last year, which was my first real road trip.  I road the FJR on the trip.  I bought it used, with a Corbin seat.  The seat is too hard for my taste and I would prefer less forward lean.  I have agreed to purchase a new raven 2016 ST ES. I hope to pick it up in the next couple of week's.  I plan to purchase aluminum bags, a touring windshield, and crash bars.  I'm planning to go to the Lake of te Ozarks this spring and possibly the Great Lakes in the summer.  I hope to go to Alaska in te next couple of years, before I get too old.  I think the Super Tenere is the bike to get me there.

You're on the right path for sure. Read about the seat bumper mod and go ride.
