Steve -

That looked like serious deer country, at least the first part. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for one to jump out of the trees, just like I feel when I ride through that kind of terrain!

Are you running stock exhaust? Sounded way throatier than my 2013 stock. I liked it.

Were those the 4x4 roads in Green Ridge?  Haven't seen the main roads be that muddy.

One thing about Green Ridge mud, it can be insanely slippery.  I was once gently riding around a muddy corner, not pushing it in any way.  Three seconds later I was still upright, but facing the other direction.  Did almost a complete 180 degree spin.

It is I almost got one the first night. After that it was 30 mph after dark. Some of that fog was worse than darkness but not one person had any serious problem. (No trips to Hospital) Nice video Steve! My compliments to Rudderfeet for the tracks. Patrick and I rode Sunday after the storm moved thur in the Lost River area. The George Washington National forest had some good roads.

Dirt Dad will have the total, but from shirt sales and donations through the shirt sales, that part of the fundraising brought in $241 for the charity. (Not including InHouse Bob's $200)

You all are great. Thanks everybody!

Yes, I know of a few more mailing in some money, so total will be soon. Easy to say we smashed last year's total. With about 25% fewer people this year vs last year that's a hell of an accomplishment.

More when I get the final number.

Won a door prize w/o being there.
Thanks Romney for forwarding it.

Final charity numbers are in.

With fewer people in attendance this year we still smashed through the impressive total from 2015 .  Everyone really stepped up to knock this one out of the park.

I do hope this makes everyone feel a sense of personal satisfaction about the part they played in this outstanding total.  Thanks to all of you for making the 2016 Camp N Ride a huge success.

I don't worry too much about deer during the middle of the day - I probably should.   Once on top of Dolly Sods, I had to brake hard to avoid hitting an owl that flew across the road right in front of me.  I was just so glad to have seen an owl in flight!

The exhaust is stock.  GoPro is RAM-mounted to handlebars.  I think it must pick up vibration... the first time I heard the engine sounds from GoPro vid I was pleasantly surprised - from the seat, it mostly sounds like wind blast.

I'm not sure where I was - I was just following a leader.  I think we were on Carrol Rd, because we stopped at the overlook (found it on Google maps); we paralleled a canal for while, and we passed that old train tunnel.  I don't know if I was on one of the posted routes, but those landmarks should tell whether or not I was.

I was very freaked out by the mud.  I keep meaning to get crashbars, but haven't - I've dropped it in sand twice now, and 2 radiator fans later I'm gun-shy about dropping it.  When it starts sliding around, I just see dollar signs.
