Just looking for a percentage of ES to non-ES bikes
« on: November 08, 2015, 10:41:25 pm »
rtwpaul has a gas tank manufacturer asking how many folks have the two versions of the bike. Answering the poll has nothing to do with whether you want a new tank or not, as  this should be interesting regardless  Obviously, the percentage of ES will grow as continuing sales dilute the 2012-13 bikes which had none.
Thanks

ES 2015.

This ES or non ES thing is amusing. Previous threads have non ES owners saying how silly the ES is and how after spending over £800 on a new aftermarket shock etc blah blah etc
yet virtualy all ES owners seem happy with it.

I was sceptical as i couldn't work out why Yamaha had decided i wasn't allowed or trusted to adjust the front and rear independently like every other motorbike i have owned in the last 24 years.
I also have had my last three R1's sent away to have the suspension stripped, resprung and rebuilt etc so this adventure bike just won't work on the road surely ....

So imagine my surprise when the ES just works. And No i do not go off road (as in off tracks onto the dirty stuff) and have this as more of a tourer than off roader.
Comfiest bike i have owned. Least adjusted bike i have owned. Works for me. (and understand that everyone is different and requires different things the bike should do and feel like etc etc)

I wonder how ES or non-ES would change things as far as tanks go?

I cant vote, I have both.

I know Romney told me the ES outsells the non-ES in a very big way.  Not even remotely close.

How's that for scientific statistics   ;D
